Hello, when enabling VRR on the pg27aqdp while HDR is turned on in windows at 480hz, there's a significant reduction in brightness. Turning VRR off immediately fixes it. Why is this? Seems like unintended behavior. Please note I am not referring to oled vrr flicker (which is significant at 480hz). It's a static drop in brightness as soon as VRR is enabled. This does not occur in SDR.
I have troubleshooted by resetting the monitor to factory settings, and trying a different hdmi 2.1 48gb certified cable in addition to the supplied cable. I am currently on the latest firmware MCM103.

Hello, thanks for the response.
1. The problem occurred from new, immediately out of the box. Please note that I received my monitor with the latest MCM103 firmware already installed. The issue has also persisted through a few GPU driver updates. I use an AMD 7900xtx GPU and am currently on the latest drivers.
2. I have a created a video showing the issue in action. The video begins with the monitor in 1440p 480hz HDR VRR mode. I then turn the VRR off to show the difference in brightness, followed by cycling VRR on and off again. The only setting being toggled in the video is VRR. Please let me know if this sufficiently shows the issue or other demonstrations are required.
3. I have confirmed that the issue is present to the same degree at 60hz, 120hz, 240hz and 480hz. However, as noted previously, it does not occur when HDR is off. To put it another way, once EOTF is Freesync HDR, there is significantly reduced brightness.
Note: Screenshots taken through windows snipping tool with VRR on and off are identical, showing that the difference in brightness does not occur at the operating system level. I also previously posted about this issue on reddit, and another owner of this monitor confirmed that they experience the same issue.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide.
