PG27AQDP pixel refresh question

I have a question regarding pixel refresh. before I installed the most recent firmware (103 iirc), when I turn my monitor off manually, it would start a pixel refresh and the the total pixel refresh counter would go up. now after installing, when I turn off the monitor the counter doesn't go up. does this mean pixel refresh is not happening anymore? because I always refresh my monitor when the timer is at 4-8h regardless of if my monitor is off or not

Hi @00X00 ,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding the issue you mentioned, "When manually turning off the display, the display's internal pixel refresh counter does not increase," as you did not specify the machine's status (e.g., whether it has entered standby mode) when manually turning off the display, to better determine the problem, please assist in performing the following four tests and provide the test results for further analysis:

Test 1: Screen normally lit (red light) -> DC OFF -> Power on after 5 minutes -> Check Pixel Cleaning Times

Steps:

  1. Confirm the screen is displaying normally (red light).
  2. Manually turn off the display (DC OFF).
  3. Power on after 5 minutes and check if Pixel Cleaning Times has increased by 1.

Test 2: Screen normally lit (red light) -> DC OFF -> AC OFF after 5 minutes -> AC ON after 5 minutes -> Check Pixel Cleaning Times

Steps:

  1. Confirm the screen is displaying normally (red light).
  2. Manually turn off the display (DC OFF).
  3. Remove power (AC OFF) after 5 minutes, then reconnect power (AC ON) after 5 minutes.
  4. After the screen displays normally, check if Pixel Cleaning Times has increased by 1.

Test 3: Enter standby mode (orange light) -> DC OFF -> Power on after 5 minutes -> Check Pixel Cleaning Times

Steps:

  1. Confirm the screen is displaying normally (red light).
  2. Remove or turn off the signal source.
  3. After the machine enters standby mode (orange light), manually turn off the display (DC OFF).
  4. Power on after 5 minutes and check if Pixel Cleaning Times has increased by 1.

Test 4: Enter standby mode (orange light) -> DC OFF -> AC OFF after 5 minutes -> AC ON after 5 minutes -> Check Pixel Cleaning Times

Steps:

  1. Confirm the screen is displaying normally (red light).
  2. Remove or turn off the signal source.
  3. After the machine enters standby mode (orange light), manually turn off the display (DC OFF).
  4. Remove power (AC OFF) after 5 minutes, then reconnect power (AC ON) after 5 minutes.
  5. After the screen displays normally, check if Pixel Cleaning Times has increased by 1.

Please assist in performing the above tests and provide the test results for further analysis.

Additionally, we would like to remind you that when "Power Setting = Performance Mode," Pixel Cleaning will be performed after executing DC OFF, and "Pixel Clean Times" will increase after completion. However, if "Power Setting = Power Saving Mode," Pixel Cleaning will not be performed after executing DC OFF. Therefore, please confirm which mode "Power Setting" is in.

Thank you for your cooperation.
