PG27AQDP 240hz Stuck

Trepx
Level 7

Hello Im having an issue with my monitor Iv had it for about 3 weeks now and up until today has worked fine. Today I noticed that while playing CS my hz were set to 240 went into the nvidia control panel and the max hz allowed was 240 im on display port. Thought maybe dsc was disabled but it was supported. So that took me down a rabbit hole of troubleshooting. What iv done so far

Reset Monitor to factory settings multiple times

Used 3 different Display port cables. Used all 3 of the avaliable display ports on my rtx 3080

Clean uninstall and reinstall of nvidia drivers. Used both old and new drivers.

Removed and reinstalled monitor drivers.

Attempted the whole disable vrr reenable disabled dsc reenabled

Tested with the provided HDMI 2.1 cable and had no issues at all selecting the 480hz

Whatever I do i just cant seem to get this monitor unstuck from maxing out at 240hz with displayport.

using another monitor I have with the same cable and same gpu port and getting max hz at 540 (zowie tn)

even thought i was alread on the newest fireware still reinstalled it

Anyone have any ideas? Im still in return window for the item so worst case i can go get it swapped at my loca microcenter..

Thanks!!

Hello Trepx

In the monitor OSD, try turning off ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur) and Oled Anti-Flicker.

According to the manual, these settings are limited to 240Hz.

I tried all that. ANti flicker was always greyed out for me. But funny enough i wake up this morning and test it and NOW im able to go 480hz on display.. I wonder if heat was playing a factor? very odd that i try all these troubleshooting steps and nothing but just sitting off overnight is what fixed it. Strange
