pg27aqdm anti-flicker setting

voone
Level 7

hello,

I recently updated the firmware to MCM107, the reason for the update is because i had a bad flickering issue on one game "Dragons dogma 2" so i figured when reading the firmware discription it was noted that they added the "anti flicker" setting. My previous firmware was mcm104 this dint had it so hens the firmware update.

Everything went fine no problems so far but i do notice that the anti-flicker setting is greyed out. I already did do a full reset in the menu, turned the monitor off, try'd presets and user mode noting seems to make it so i can use the feature.

Any ideas on what i can be? any help would be much appreciated

kind regards

You could try to put the GameVisual to User mode instead of the Racing mode that is on by default. It used to unlock more feature in that mode in my experience.

That is an hdr setting. The monitor has to be in hdr mode for oled antiflicker to be accessible. You can turn to hdr from the windows settings but I don't know if dragon's dogma 2 has native.

Discovery: this firmware is just bugged. Turning on hdr will enable the antiflickering setting, and turning it off will keep it enabled and a bunch of other settings that were initially greyed out.

Things like uniform brightness will also reappear. However racing mode will now turn black and white..

Restarting the monitor will fix the black and white racing mode but will lock all the other picture settings and modes and the uniform brightness will also disappear. The brightness will then be fixed at 70 and you can lower it but cannot increase it.

I don't know how the hell, this firmware was pushed with so many bugs
