PG248QP Black screen after turning off 540hz overclocking

Hi

I'm trying to get a custom resolution on my Asus monitor. I read somewhere that you have to deactivate the 540hz overclocking in order to set a custom resolution in Nvidia settings.

But when I turn off the OC 540hz in the monitor settings, the screen turns black and it shows "no signal". All the settings in the PC are on 240hz, and the monitor should switch to that in my opinion. What can i do? Reboot didn't help, unplug/replug didn't help.
The monitor only seems to work with 540hz overclocking enabled which i don't want.

thanks

Hi @psinferno,

To assist you more accurately, we would like you to confirm the following:

  1. Monitor purchase time: Did you recently purchase this monitor?
  2. Factory reset: Have you tried restoring the monitor to its factory settings? This can help rule out issues caused by personal settings.
  3. Special features: Have you enabled any special features such as DSC or overclocking? If so, we recommend that you temporarily disable these features.
  4. Resolution settings: What is your monitor's resolution setting? We recommend that you refer to the "3.6 Supported Operating Modes" section in the user manual to ensure the setting is correct. PG248QP_English.pdf
  5. Cables and ports: You can try switching to a different signal cable or port to see if the problem disappears.
  6. Firmware and driver: Please make sure that your monitor firmware and graphics card driver are updated to the latest versions.

Thank you.

Providing detailed device specifications (MB/CPU/GPU/PSU, etc.) and the respective driver versions, OS version, and BIOS version will help us analyze the issue more effectively.
