Neo Proximity Sensor not working on PG27UCDM

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with the "Neo Proximity Sensor (screen off)" feature on my PG27UCDM monitor and am looking for some help or insight.

The Issue:
The "Screen Off" function of the Neo Proximity Sensor does not work.

I set the timer to 5 minutes and specified a custom distance (77cm, 60cm, and 90cm all tested).
Even after 5 minutes passed, the screen did not turn off. It only dimmed, likely due to some dimming feature, but the screen-off functionality did not activate.

However, the proximity sensor does work when measuring distance in the "Distance Selection" or "Custom Mode" settings themselves (i.e., it detects when I am near or far during the measurement phase).

My Current Environment & Setup:

Main Monitor: ASUS PG27UCDM (Identified as #2 in Windows)
Secondary Monitor: Dell U2719DC (Identified as #1 in Windows)
Operating System: Windows 11 (Version 25H2)
GPU Driver: NVIDIA Driver Version 581.57
Monitor Firmware: MCM105

Connectivity:
Dell monitor is connected via a standard DP cable.
PG27UCDM is connected via the bundled HDMI 2.1 cable (The bundled 1m DP2.1/DP80 cable was too short for my setup. I have also tested with the bundled DP 1.4 cable with the same result).

What I Have Tried So Far:

Firmware Update: Immediately after purchasing and setting up the PG27UCDM monitor, it seemed to be on firmware version 103 (before any actual use, testing, or configuration). My very first action was to update it to version 105 using the included USB upstream cable. Updated immediately upon installation from what I recall was v103 to v105 using the bundled USB upstream cable.

Cable Swaps: Tested with both the bundled HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 cables. The issue persists regardless of the cable used.

Firmware Reinstallation: Attempted a reinstallation of firmware v105 via the upstream cable, but the result was the same. (I have not attempted a firmware rollback or downgrade. I haven't tried it not only because I don't know how to perform the procedure, but also because I've heard it is generally not recommended).

Windows Settings: Configured 4K resolution at 240Hz, RGB color format. In the Windows Power & Sleep settings, I personally set the options for 'Screen and sleep' to 'Never'. VRR (G-Sync) is enabled.

I have exhausted my troubleshooting options and the screen-off function still does not work. Has anyone else experienced this, or is there a specific setting I might be missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Please Help me~!!! Save me~!!

Thanks!

Ps. The proximity sensor works when measuring distance in the "Distance Selection" or "Custom Mode" settings (i.e., it detects when I am near or far during the measurement phase). Given this point, it seems unlikely to be a hardware issue with the sensor. Do you think it might be a firmware problem?
If so, how can I solve this problem?

Is using a dual monitor setup the problem? Or is it an issue with the Windows version? Or a problem with the graphic drivers? If it's truly a firmware issue, then would the best course of action for me to solve this problem be to wait for a new firmware version after 105 to be released?

I have exactly the same issue/behaviour on my new PG27UCDM. It just doesn't turn off. The PG32UCDMR next to it works perfectly in terms of Neo Sensor turning the screen off.

So it this defective hardware or a bug in the firmware?

Nobody else had this problem? If not, I will report directly to ASUS support.
