Hey everyone!
Need some help with my setup! I have been running an Asus 27" OLED 2k 240hz monitor as my main gaming monitor, and 3 27" Acer 1080p work monitors with my Strix 4090. I have not had any issues running this setup for years, and yes i use them all for work lol.
I just purchased over the weekend the PG32UCDP 4k monitor and I can only get 2 of the 3 27" Acers to work.
If i disable DSC on the Asus OSD, I can get all of them to work however I am stuck in 120hz.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi there. Sure thing and thank you so much for reaching out.
I also want to mention that I am running a ROG Strix 4090, Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and a ROG X870E-E, EVGA 1200w Platinum Power Supply.
1.
2.
The issue is in screenshot -3, I can only run the PG32 in 120hz, which I should be able to run 4k 240hz. One more mention. After disabling DSC in the Asus Monitor settings in order to be able to enabled the other 3 monitors, I even set the Asus to 1080p and still could only get 120hz.
3.
I sincerely appreciate your time and help, this is a work setup for me as well as gaming so I really hope I can resolve this.

Thank you for the explanation but the three Acer monitors are very basic and do not support DSC. Only my Asus 32 supports DSC and the port next to the DP is empty. I also am running a Strix 4090.
The Acer's show DDC in their setting menu but I dont know if thats the same. I have checked their Spec website as well.

I think what the Nvidia help page is saying is that you can connect a maximum of 4 monitors to a card. However, if a monitor is using DSC, it uses the "capacity" of 2 monitors, leaving you with only 2 remaining connections possible. This is why you cannot have all 4 monitors connected when DSC is enabled on your new ASUS monitor.

Ok after checking the 4090 page, it does look like 4 is the max amount of support displays. That makes perfect sense!
But, do i have to run DSC to get 4k 240hz on my main Asus?

I believe you will need DSC as neither HDMI 2.1 nor DP 1.4 will have enough bandwidth without it.
