I have seen that a lot of people use the display ports, but also that hdmi 2.1 does the job.

Hello Casje

The HDMI ports on the PG27AQDM are HDMI 2.0.

The HDMI ports on the PG34WCDM are HDMI 2.1.

Try the displayport cable that came with the PG27AQDM.

Hi, since my 27" is on the left, and my PC on my right it is to short.

Online I read to go for the DP 1.4, what are the specs for that cable I should look for?

Thank you!

Ok, so the DP2.1 cable is backwards compatible with DP1.4 🙂

(since the HDMI 2.1 cable is not with HDMI 2.0)

Both are backwards compatible.

You get more bandwidth and a higher data rate with Displayport 1.4 vs HDMI 2.0.

I Needed a longer cable too, so I just went with a Displayport 2.1 cable.

Hi Nate,

If  2.1 is backwards compatible with the 2.0 then why doesn't my cable work? It supports up 48Gbit/s? Should it then also not provide 240hz?

Or is it that HDMI 2.0 can't provide 240hz and there is a port on the monitor that doesn't support it's own capabilities?

I already ordered the DP1.4 cable 😀
