BUG REPORT: pg32ucdm Dolby Vision Setting resets to bright every time

Every time I switch the ROG Swift pg32ucdm to another input not using Dolby Vision, and then switch back to the input with Dolby Vision, the setting defaults to "Dolby Vision Bright".  I want to use "Dolby Vision Gaming", and it's a slight annoyance to have to check it and switch it every time.  The monitor should remember my choice, and therefore I believe this is a bug worth reporting.

Hi @bevardimus ,

Thank you for contacting ASUS support. We appreciate you reaching out to us regarding the issue with your ROG Swift PG32UCDM monitor's Dolby Vision settings resetting.

We recommend you try the following steps:

  1. Update the monitor firmware: Check the ASUS website for the latest monitor firmware update and follow the instructions to update it.
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the graphics card driver: Uninstall the current graphics card driver and reinstall the latest version of the driver.
  3. Check cable connection: Ensure the cable (HDMI/DP) is securely plugged into the monitor and device.
  4. Reset the monitor settings: Reset the monitor settings to factory defaults, and then reconfigure the settings.

If you have tried all the above solutions but the problem persists, we suggest you provide a complete video of the steps you took to reproduce the issue. This will allow our engineering team to better understand the problem and provide a more accurate solution.

Please record the video in MP4 format and clearly show the steps you took.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Providing detailed device specifications (MB/CPU/GPU/PSU, etc.) and the respective driver versions, OS version, and BIOS version will help us analyze the issue more effectively.
