Black screen on Windows login on a Asus PG32UCDP monitor

Hey,

I have the Asus PG32UCDP monitor.
It has the latest MCM106 firmware.

When I start Windows sometimes the screen goes black for 5 seconds as if it's searching for inputs on the Windows login screen (where I have to enter my Windows login password) and after it goes back on again, with "HDMI-2" (my input) shown on screen.

The settings remain intact.

The issue is occurring with or without the "auto select input" monitor setting.

I've owned a Asus PG32UCDM monitor in the past that didn't have this issue.

Anyone else have it / knows of a solution?

I had this monitor and returned it because it had all the same exact problems that all of their monitors are currently having with all the black screens and whatnot.

What I did was change DP setting to 1.4 since I have an evga 3090 and use the 1.4 cable in the box. Reset my pc and it worked fine.

Hi @pika112 ,

Thank you for your inquiry.

To better understand the display-related issue you are experiencing, please perform the following tests and provide information:

  1. Cable cross-testing: When you cross-test different connection cables, does the problem still occur?
  2. Original cable confirmation: Are you currently using the connection cable provided by the original manufacturer?
  3. Monitor factory reset: We recommend that you try restoring the monitor to factory settings and confirm whether the problem still exists.
  4. Graphics card driver confirmation: Please confirm that your graphics card driver is updated to the latest version.
  5. Problem start time confirmation: Did this phenomenon occur immediately after you purchased the display?

Please kindly confirm the above information and perform the tests so that we can further analyze the problem. Thank you for your cooperation.
