Hi @AwenMilano ,

Thank you for contacting us regarding the USB error issue with your ASUS XG279Q monitor.

We understand that this issue can be frustrating, and we're here to help.

To troubleshoot this issue, we recommend that you try the following steps:

  1. Check the USB cable: Please inspect the USB cable you are currently using for any damage or oxidation. We suggest trying a different high-quality USB cable and cross-testing.
  2. Update the monitor firmware: Please ensure that your monitor firmware is up-to-date. You can update the firmware through the ASUS official website or the Armoury Crate software.
  3. Reinstall Armoury Crate: Please completely uninstall the software using the dedicated Armoury Crate uninstaller and then reinstall it. This can help rule out any errors that may have occurred during the software installation process.
  4. Check Device Manager: Please open Device Manager and check if there are any USB-related devices with a yellow exclamation mark. If so, please try updating or reinstalling the drivers.

If the problem persists after trying the above steps, we recommend sending both the monitor and the USB cable to your nearest ASUS service center for inspection by a professional engineer.
