ASUS ROG PG27AQDP - RANDOM BLACKSCREEN

IWAZ
Level 7
When I play Valorant it all depends on what the screen displays, suddenly the screen turns off. No sound, no image. Unplugging the video cable does not solve the problem. I have to unplug the electricity cable.

What I have already tried:
- Change the HDMI 2.1 high-end cable
- Switch to DP HIGH END CABLE
- Lower FPS (120)
- 8 BITS colors
- DSC OFF
- Reinstall the game; the drivers; the screen firmware
I read the 55-page topic that relates the same problems.

On Valorant, I can even reproduce the bug with the character CHAMBER; it does it almost every time.

EXAMPLE:

My seller tells me that I have to test other applications or games for it to be covered under warranty ???? Is there a solution to this problem?

The only thing that works, I play on another screen that costs 10 times less

MY SETTINGS :
WIN 11 PRO 23H2
NVIDIA 4080 SUPER Drivers update
9800 X3D drivers updates
X870 MAG TOMAHAWKS BIOS update
2560 X 1440P HDR OFF VRR OFF GSYNC OFF

I am quite annoying because the seller said " you need to test with other game or application ", is that a joke ?
If i send them the screen to verify, they just need to contact asus support and verify the issue

Thx in advance.

Hi @IWAZ ,

Thank you for your feedback.

  2. Graphics card driver: Please ensure that you have the latest graphics card driver installed.
  3. Game-specific issue: Does this issue only occur when playing Valorant, or does it occur in other games or general use?
  4. Frequency of occurrence: How often does this issue occur? Does it happen every day, or is it occasional?
  5. System update: We recommend that you update your operating system to the latest version to see if the issue improves.
  6. Signal interruption: Based on your description, it seems like the signal is interrupted, causing the black screen. We recommend that you try connecting the monitor to another device or connecting another monitor to your computer to see if the issue persists.
  7. Monitor indicator light: When the black screen occurs, does the monitor's indicator light turn off?
  8. Video recording: If you have recorded a video of the black screen, please provide an MP4 file for our reference.

Providing this information will help our engineers analyze the problem more in-depth.

Thank you.

Please note that response times may be delayed due to upcoming regional holidays. For urgent inquiries, please contact your local service center. Thank you for your patience.

I hope you realize by now that the PG32 also has this issue, the PG34 as well. The other post (the PG32) has 58(!) pages. I also notice you ask the same thing everywhere, but by now you should have had sufficient data to start solving it and not ask for more data but state you are working on it....

Unfortunately, there’s no point in asking for a fix. I’ve realized that these forums, and even ASUS customer support, are just there to give you false hope. ASUS constantly releases broken monitors with many issues, and the only real solution is to stop buying them. I will never buy ASUS monitor again. It has been the worst experience of my life, and I can’t comprehend how they can sell such defective products while insisting everything is fine, especially when other brands work perfectly. ASUS is trying to do everything these days, and the result is crap products.
