Asus PG32ucdp multiple screen orientation issue and firmware nvidia gsync certification?

InfamousDolphin

I have a 3 monitor setup, the left monitor is in portrait, main monitor is the asus, and the right monitor is in portrait. if I switch between 480hz and 240 it forgets the orientation of the monitors, and which is my main display. Is there anything that can keep this from happening?

Also can anyone confirm that v103 is the latest firmware? It came with 104 and claimed 103 was an update so I installed it.

Lastly windows 10 does not see this as being gsync compatible, I can still enable it but is it really not certified?

Hi @InfamousDolphin ,

Thank you for reaching out!

Regarding the screen orientation issue you mentioned, we would like to confirm the following details:

  1. Are you currently using two PG32UCDP monitors with a laptop in between? If so, could you provide the laptop's model?
  2. After adjusting the laptop's refresh rate, do the screens on the left and right monitors swap, and do the screen orientations change as well?
  3. Please check if the "Display Orientation" in the Windows display settings is set to "Landscape" and locked.

For firmware version issues:

  • If your monitor's factory firmware version is 104, it means your unit was manufactured after the release of MCM103 firmware. We recommend resetting your monitor to its factory settings (104 firmware) to avoid potential stability issues.

Regarding G-SYNC certification:

  • The PG32UCDP features AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro technology and is compatible with NVIDIA® G-SYNC™. You can visit the NVIDIA official website for the latest compatibility list for more details.

Thank you.

1.) No I am using one PG32UCDP as the main, the other 2 are dell monitors in portrait config. There is no laptop. It is a PC connected to a NVIDIA 3080

2.) Yes

3.) How do I reset the monitor to use 104 firmware? If there is newer firmware why is it not available download on the product page?

Hi @InfamousDolphin ,

Thank you for your response!

To assist us in better understanding the issue, could you please provide a video of the problem occurrence (in MP4 format)?

The video will help us observe the issue and verify your current setup.

Additionally, we suggest performing the following tests and sharing the results:

  1. Connect the PG32UCDP monitor directly to your PC and check if it works properly.
  2. Connect your PC to one PG32UCDP monitor and one Dell monitor to see if they function as expected.

If you need to reset the monitor to factory settings, please follow these steps:
Go to the monitor’s OSD > System Setup > All Reset.

Kindly provide the following information for our team to proceed with further investigation:

  • Motherboard model
  • Graphics card model
  • BIOS version
  • Graphics driver version (please ensure it is the latest version)
  • Operating system version
  • Confirmation that the original cables supplied with the monitor are being used

Thank you.
