ASUS PG32UCDM - Vertical lines in dark areas

Luca23
Level 7

Hi, mates. I have an ASUS PG32UCDM and while in game, every time there is a dark area (but not pitch black), vertical moving lines appear... here's a video: https://imgur.com/a/aMQ3oEX

In the video the problem is sadly less evident, try to look the "less dark" area, above the white signal, while I move the camera... but in game the problem is worse and happens also while the camera is immobile

Any ideas?

Other info:

  1. I already did a pixel refresh
  2. I have the latest firmware: MCM105
  3. The monitor is connected via HDMI (original cable)

Thanks for reading

Hi @Luca23 ,

Thank you for contacting us. To help us better troubleshoot your display issue, we would like you to confirm the following:

  1. Factory reset: Have you tried resetting your display to its factory settings? This can help rule out any software issues with the display itself.
  2. Replace the cable: We recommend that you try using a different HDMI or DP cable to rule out the possibility of a faulty cable.
  3. Switch output ports: Please connect your display to a different video output port on your computer, such as DisplayPort, to see if the problem persists.
  4. Update the driver: Please ensure that your graphics card driver is updated to the latest version.

If the problem persists after following the above steps, we recommend that you send your display, along with the cable, to the nearest authorized service center or call local customer service for further assistance.

Thank you.

Providing detailed device specifications (MB/CPU/GPU/PSU, etc.) and the respective driver versions, OS version, and BIOS version will help us analyze the issue more effectively.

Thanks for the answer. In these days I'm not at home, as soon as I return, I will update you

Hi! I did everything: I reset to the factory settings, updated again the driver, tried another cable and different outport... sadly the problem is still here

It's mandatory to send the monitor with the orginal box? Or a generic box (obviously of the right size and providing the right protection) is ok?
