monitor issue, having an issue after using the ULMB2.0 + 540hz the monitor will white screen. Fantastic monitor aside from this severe issue…

note the issue is not with display port cable, as that display port cable was used to test another monitor and said monitor is fine.

PC specs: GPU-4090 suprim x, CPU-core i9 14900k, ram 7800mt/s

The first one black screened when I first plugged it in. but the light on the bottom right came on. I called support they told me to return it. So I tilted it 90 degrees to take the cables out. And it started working all of a sudden. So I ended up NOT returning it….. 2 weeks later the screen showed multiple vertical lines ( it was unusable) so I decided to unplug it and plug it back in and sure enough, it again would not display anything on the screen.

Seems like QC on this monitor is bad, it’s surprising to hear this given how glowing the reviews…etc from well known tech reviewers such as Optimum were. When the monitor works its performance is stunning… but white screening in the middle of a competitive match is wild… white screening after a few minutes of being idle makes no sense.

@jonthy @KinKs_3 just a heads up, got another PG248QP from Amazon ( both ones I had purchased were from Amazon) based on 1 hour of testing at 540+ULMB2 with PW@80 have not seen white screen issue… also returned the one with the issues.

I don’t think this thread should be closed however just in case any one from ASUS has an alternative solution other than just RMA’ing/ or buying another one… tho it does sound like a hardware QC issue 😕 affecting small percentage of the product given not to many other users that bought this are complaining about it.

I bought this monitor 5 days ago and  I have the same problem  ULMB ON 540Hz. Sometimes in a few seconds sometimes in 1 hour of playing .Aniy news on new firmware

Exchange it if you can. It is a hardware failure.
