Spatha mouse stuttering in some games - Armory firmware issue too

Hey all,

So I have recently found that in some games where I have to hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse, there are times it will stutter or lag. If I let the mouse button go and retry, it normally then works. It is like i'm resetting the action or something. I am getting the message in wireless mode that I have to update my firmware, but when I plug in the mouse to make it wired and restart the Armoury software, it says everything is up to date.

I have done the following:

- Checked and cleaned the sensor with microfiber clothe
- Made sure that all firmware/software is updated
- Tried this with both wired/wireless mode (happens in both)
- Tried three different mouse pads, it happens on all three
- I had to do a full OS reinstall for another reason and it was happening before and after the full format/reinstall
- Tried a different mouse with no issues
- Lowered and raised the polling rate

About the only thing I haven't done is check the mouse on another computer, but I don't think it is my computer especially after a full OS reinstall.

Suggestions? Listed below is the current firmware/software versions. I'm not sure if they are fully up to date or not. Can anyone confirm these versions are the latest? If they are, why am I getting the message that the firmware isn't fully updated and if not, how come it isn't updating?

Firmware/software is currently at:
Software Version: 1.01.34
Dock Firmware: 1.27
Mouse Firmware: 1.58

Live update in the armoury software is now working properly so if you click on tools and check for latest SW and FW and it says it's the latest then it's the latest.

Can provide more details on the steps to replicate this stuttering and lag issue? What are you doing when this happens?

Just curious, is your mouse plugged directly into a USB port mounted to your computer's motherboard? Or, is it "sharing" an extension port like the USB plugs on your monitor that connect to your computer?

I'm not sure if this applies to a wireless mouse, but I had a similar issue with different mice when I had them plugged in to my G-sync monitor's USB ports. When I switched them to the port directly on the computer it fixed the stuttering.

When in wireless mode the dock is plugged directly in to the back of the motherboard. Wired it is through a powered USB hub connected to the motherboard.

As a long shot, try wired connected directly to a USB port on the motherboard...?

I'm still looking to see if anyone can provide the latest firmware/software versions just to make sure i'm up to date.

You might want to try the latest version at the link below (the latest version is listed for Gladius II but works for Spatha. The new version for Spatha will be released soon):

What surfaces have you tried the mouse on?

Will give it a go. Ty.

EDIT**

Downloaded it, instantly my firmware for wired and non wired was upgraded, this is good news.

I'll give a go in my games over the next few days to see how it goes.

Thanks for the heads up Bahz.

Problem with the little stutter is still present. I'm going to expirmiment with the latency and the lift off distance.
