ROG Spatha current issues

Hello.

Some time has passed after the last Spatha firmware update and I would like to share my findings, which seems to have not been covered:
1. Spatha does not come into sleep mode no matter which value I choose in "Sleep mode after being idle for:" under "Power" tab. I have not observed this issue before. Previously after specified amount of minutes passed, mouse turned off all its lights. Now nothing changes. So I have to keep my mouse on cable or shut down it when I am not using it. Anyway, I suppose that if there is such option in software - it should work properly.
2. The second issue is about inconsistant behavior. When it is on wireless mode, it works when switch on the bottom is ON and does not work when it is OFF - as expected. When I plug a cable, mouse works in any switch position - might be not obvious, but OK, lets agree with this. Then, when I was using mouse with cable and switch in OFF position, turned OFF my PC, on the next start mouse won't wake up and does not react to anything. The only way which I found to make it operate again is to: unplug the cable, turn switch ON (mouse still does not work - unexpected), turn switch OFF, turn switch ON again. Only after these action I manage to make the mouse work.

Thank you.

Anyone else noticing inconsistency in sensitivity when on 1000 Hz polling rate wireless? I've been using the Spatha wirelessly for a few days and assumed it was on 1000 Hz. When I saw in Armoury that it was on 500 Hz, I changed it to 1000 Hz and began to notice intermittent issues, maybe once every minute or so, where my sensitivity would dramatically drop for short periods of time (half a second or so) before returning to normal. I have not experienced this at 500 Hz.

Is the dock connected via a USB hub? Sometimes when the USB hub is overloaded, devices can cut out or fail to function properly.
When the sensitivity drops, is it only the mouse or does the whole system act up?
Is everything okay when set to 500Hz?
Is everything okay when set to 1000/2000Hz on wired?

Hi, yes it was in a powered USB 3.0 hub. Sorry it took so long to reply, it's been busy, and I haven't had a chance to re-run the wires around my desk. The base is now wired directly into the mainboard and I'm seeing the exact same thing - inconsistent sensitivity at 1000 Hz wireless. Everything is fine at 500 Hz wireless. For wired, it's kind of a pain to switch between wired and wireless, and the way my setup is, having my base wired directly would make it very difficult to test properly.

The peripherals team is currently working to fix the bug where the mouse does not go into sleep mode, this will be resolved in the next software update due in the coming months.

I'm new user of Spatha since last friday.

I dont know if my mouse is broken or its a software/firmware issue.

My mouse works almost ok, but radomly it totally discharges during night. One evening I have 80% battery next day its still 80%. But next day (mean night) its 80% in the evenig and total balckout in the monring after night in indle (computer disabled). It has happened 3 times since last friday! May other wireless mices (form Logitech) dont behave so stupidly. Maybe its battery defect?

I tried many different settings and light disable... Of course powersaving is enabled. Still nothing. RMA? Or is it a bug?

I'm so so disappointed. 😞

@KMBak have you tried closing down Armoury?

I, along with others have observed that the mouse will not enter sleep mode if Armoury is active on the PC.

I know this bug. But its a different problem. Self discharge even if computer is disabled. I also have Armoury disabled too.

EDIT
I'm making RMA for this mouse. If new one also will work so bad I think that this mouse is worst and most overpriced device on Earth. Why the hell it has build-in battery not AA solution?!?!

Good news!

With Armoury version 2.04.06 the mouse can enter sleep mode even with Armoury running in the system tray
