ROG KERIS II Origin - update available, not updating!

This mouse has been great, except the software, which is absolute trash, issues pairing the receiver and mouse, gear link is wonky, armoury crate is always showing 100% battery even after 5 days of usage wirelessly, which is just not possible.

Today i am prompted for firmware update, connect the mouse with cable, put into wired mode, press update. Nothing happens, ...like ever.

How do I fix this? this is just shocking how unrealiable this software is for this mouse!

how do i connect BOTH receiver and mouse via cable when there is only 1 cable for this mouse, what is this? 😄 The update never proceeds...

Hello Beo420

To update your ROG Keris II Origin in Armoury Crate:

1) Connect the charging cable to your mouse and a pc usb port, you can use motherboard or pc case usb ports.

2) Set the wireless switch on the bottom of the mouse to wired mode (switch set to the center position).

3) Connect the wireless dongle to a pc usb port.

4) Try the update in Armoury Crate.

Ok maybe i am a bit of an idiot, the more you know. I tried mouse wired in wired mode and dongle directly to USB 2.0 on front of my case, did not work but putting the dongle into USB 3.0 directly to motherboard in the back did prompt the update. So all good i guess
