For some time, the scroll wheel on my ROG Chakram X Origin has been experiencing bounce-back. I purchased my mouse in Q3 2023, and it started malfunctioning in Q3 2024. The mouse has always been kept clean, and by design it's a very easy to clean and easy to maintenance mouse, and its comfortable, which is really nice. Though, I won't lie, it's disappointing when you pay the stated price tag for this mouse and have issues with it a year later.
I've always read that the issue with scroll wheel bounce-back for this mouse is either solved by using an air compressor, or that there's a bad processor or what have you. I had tried every fix and nothing worked permanently. For the most part, the mouse was still nice enough for me to keep using it.
I've now discovered that the scroll wheel bounce-back is 100% an issue that involves the middle mouse button.
This occurred after I did the old "turn the mouse upside down and go back and forth with it" temporary fix for the 100th time, and found it didn't work. Not only that, but when I scrolled, my mouse began going into middle click mode. I pretty much rolled my eyes and thought; "Whatever, I'll just disable the scroll click then."
To my surprise, ever since I disabled the scroll click, the scroll wheel has worked perfectly.
I have re-bound the scroll click the forward joystick, and it works fine for my work in Blender, Adobe Premier Pro, etc.
This is not a perfect solution, and I have a new mouse arriving soon from amazon.
However, if you are out there, have this mouse, and are experiencing this issue. I hope this helps.

I have the exact same issue on my chakram x. Also guarantee of mouse ended so my local service told me there is no spare part to fix my issue. I think I will by the exact same (or mostly the same) scroll wheel from AliExpress and then resolder it to fix it. I just don't want to buy a new mouse because it is not that cheap mouse and physically its comfortable for me.
