Since I own a Balteus Qi mouse pad, I absolutely want my mouse to charge wirelessly with Qi standard. Asus makes products, and the one that interests me is the ROG Chakram X. It seems like Asus is doing some retention or something—I had the same issue with the ROG Rapture AX routers. All the products offering very attractive specifications are discontinued before even making their appearance. ask them to make their product

This is an interesting topic indeed. some people have asked for Qi wireless charging but as you know, most people crave ultra-lightweight nowadays. The Qi module does add weight to the mouse albeit not that much, so the question is - how light is light enough? And we need to bare in mind how many people find the additional cost justified, the Charkam X had two variations - the Origin version is lighter but without Qi. I haven't heard much excitement for one or the other so far.
It would be great if anyone who hopes to see more mice with Qi put in a vote - like this post so we know.

Hi, I really love my Keris II Ace and Harpe Ace Mini. But my big gripes with them is that textured stripe patterns on the side of the mouse, they just feel bad especially if you grip your mouse tight, I had to use grip tape to cover them up.

I've used the grip tape since the beginning since they look and feel great, added grip is also nice. The striped pattern on the sides have always been there for both improved grip and aesthetics, never had a problem with them personally. What do you mean bad? Uncomfortable? The mice are designed with improved balance and ultra-lightweight (especially on the ACE series - Keris and Harpe), this is done so that gripping the mouse is effortless, thus reducing hand fatigue over long periods of time, playing loose and relaxed will give you more speed as well.

Yes they are uncomfortable and abrasive, especially noticeable when I'm touching the smooth parts of the mouse where they are so much nicer and gentler to the skin. Also see DiamondLobby's review of ASUS mice, the side-grip indentation pattern is annoying him too and wish they are gone, see 2:03 of this video: https://youtu.be/ZKzr4l4W8hw?si=Lh8EDwXeKpZvRE6o&t=123
There is a reason why no other companies does this or have stopped doing texture side patterns.
Look at the most successful eSports mice by Logitech, Razer and Zowie, all of them are smooth plastic, no pro players are complaining about the lack of grip.

Sorry, did the mouse come that way? Abrasive I mean - I don't see how it can be abrasive unless there is some kind of defect or damage.
Our mice are developed in cooperation with pro players actually, and we do look at every detail in the design process.

"Our mice are developed in cooperation with pro players actually, and we do look at every detail in the design process."
The ROG mice I own/tried (Chakram, Pugio II, Gladius II, Gladius III, Keris II Ace, Harpe Ace Mini) all have this stripe pattern on the side. It's a design decision that was made before ROG start doing eSport-focused mice (let's not pretend the Chakram, Pugio II and Gladius II were designed by pros). I don't think the pros asked to have the stripe pattern put in since it's already there as part of some ROG design language since forever, they probably never thought of removing the stripe pattern.
If you ask the top 30 CS players if they would like a stripe pattern on the sides of their Zowie EC2, ZA13, FK2, Logitech G Pro Superlight X, Razer Deathadder, Viper V3 Pro, etc I don't think they'll switch to having pattern texture on their favourite mouse.
Razer used to do big grip patterns on both sides of their Deathadders such as the Deathadder V2, a lot of players didn't like it because it feels bad for sensitive skin or feels slippery because of reduced surface area caused by the bumpy texture. Then Razer switched to a completely plain sides with the successor Deathadder V3 and that was an unanimously well-liked design decision.
Same with the Razer Viper, the original Viper V1 had textured sides, then for the Viper V2 they removed the textured sides for a smooth plain side and that received positive feedback, for the V3 they kept the plain sides based on feedback.
The same phenomenon happened with Steelseries. The original Steelseries Sensei had plain sides, then they have a successor called the Sensei 310 with textured side grips, that side grip was causing a lot of issue for many people wishing that it was smooth, so they went back to having plain sides for the Steelseries Prime and later products.
People really hate the feeling of holes in their mice, so having this large texture patterns on sides of the mouse is almost going a step backward since we used to have mice with holes, then mice with no-holes and now we went backwards with mice with large texture/stripe patterns that almost felt like holes again.
ROG have posters of Demon1, a pro player, promoting the Harpe Ace Mini, but in reality for tournaments he is using the Razer Viper which have smooth plain sides.
In conclusion, either soft matte rubber coating or smooth UV coating is the industry standard right now. These patterns on side of mice went out of fashion a long time ago since it has more downsides than benefits. Companies look to improve the grip by improving the coating surface itself than adding patterned textured to the mouse.

We welcome and appreciate the feedback from passionate fans, it could be something we will review. Just keep in mind that collaboration with pro players is nothing new for ROG, the original Gladius from more than a decade ago was created with pro players, there were Mayan lines but still stripes nevertheless. From what I know, Demon1 does like our mice, maybe he'll change sometime, maybe not. For now, he's confident with what he's used to and has worked for him. We dont' want to mess with that, and I'm sure most gamers can understand that using a different mouse could throw you off your game (at least temporarily).
For our high-end mice such as the Harpe Ace Extreme, we insisted on no holes or reducing the size to cut down weight so we are aware of some people having discomfort if there are. I don't think stripes the holes should be considered the same thing, I play countless hours of CoD and never got bothered by the stripes. Again, I'll talk to some people about it to see other opinions, as everyone's different and voices in the community are important. Thanks for the feedback.

Hello all. I used a long time the ROG Pugio II mouse and, as for me, it's a such great mouse. But I had a few questions about it and some suggestions that could be fixed in the future Pugio III if it's planned to be released in the future. Just to not make a copy of it here is a link to the original thread:
