Make Future Mouse Feature Suggestions Here!

Hi all,

ASUS ROG is requesting our best suggestions for ROG product improvements. As a moderator I won’t have the ability to implement your suggestions but I will be picking some of the best to highlight for the ROG team so they know what matters to us, the community.

Some guidelines for this thread:
1) Keep it positive and constructive. In most of the forum I try to allow you all to express your thoughts freely (within reason). This thread has the express purpose of generating constructive suggestions so I will be moderating this thread and deleting posts that do not contribute to that goal.
2) Keep it concise and on topic. Some minor discussion regarding a specific suggestion is welcome but if you would like to have a longer conversation I ask you start an additional thread and link it in your post here. You can also request a moderator move your posts if you have need.
3) Try for realistic ideas that appeal broadly to gamers. A small improvement on an existing ROG product is much more likely to get chosen than an entirely new product that only matters to a small number of people.
4) Support your favorites! You don’t have to come up with a suggestion to help. If you see something you like, quote it and say so! More support for an idea improves its chances.

EDIT:
I’ve updated the titles for these feedback threads to reflect that this is primarily for *future* products. Sorry for the lack of clarity. While there is a chance some ideas could be implemented via software updates it’s most likely any suggestions would be rolled into new products.
Also, these threads are not for issue reporting and such posts won’t reach the right people. Please post issues in the ROG Care > Hardware & Software Support section. Or contact ASUS support via phone or email for immediate assistance.

You guys (ASUS) do a great job with scroll wheel resistance, but how about maybe a scroll resistance wheel?

It would give mice a nice added customization to be able to adjust the scroll resistance to your own personal feel.

I have an RGB suggestion.

I really like how you did the ROG Spatha X side buttons with thin sleek lines.

I wonder if you could get the same effect with the ROG Chakram mice where the shell meets the click buttons with a thin sleek line.

In Armoury Crate on the Calibration tab, with The ROG Spatha X, you can choose the mousepad type. I'd like to see this feature available for all ROG mice.

Even though I have no issues with any ROG wireless devices, I'd like to see a signal strength meter for all wireless devices.

For the Spatha X, it shows battery % charging and that you're connected wirelessly, but not actual signal strength.

Hi
I'm having rog gladius iii gaming mice
and I can see in armory crate there are 5 on board profile
and I can switch between theme by clicking the button at the back of the mice

but

if I want to have only 2 profile to switch back and forth I can't do that
because there is no option to Disable/Deactivate profiles that I don't need

for example :

I have a normal and macro profile, my macro profile is in profile 2
now if I want to switch to normal profile I can switch to profile 3 "since it's same as profile 1"

but

if I want to get back to the macro profile I need to count down how many times I have pressed the button at the back of the mice
to make sure I'm at the correct profile which is profile 2

I really hope if you can include a feature to DISABLE/DEACTIVATE unneeded profile from any rog mice

So the keyboard function to bind keys to a mouse button in Armory Crate could use a lot of improvement.

Right now, it has trouble when you use key combinations such as ctrl-alt-r or whatever. The more modifier keys you use, the more likely it is to not recognize them. And if you use the windows key, it almost certainly won't recognize the keystroke.

I'd like to see the software display a keyboard mockup and let you pick the keys on the keyboard that you want to be in the keystroke. Though, I'd also like to see F13-F24 included if that was done. I haven't tried emulating the F13-F24 keys to see if they even work now.

Since macros can't be stored on the mouse hardware, it would be nice to have the keyboard function more fleshed out so that mice would be more portable to machines that couldn't or didn't have armory crate on them as long as you could set them up on a machine with the software.

Hello,
With my Spatha X mouse, I accidentally switch profiles (with the profile switch hot keys) and I would like an option in Armory Crate management to be able to disable the profile switch hot keys.
Thanks 🙂

I to would like to map the side buttons per game...but can't right now its all or nothing using the AC software.  Would be great to be able to map 9-12 to a game...such as Diablo IV....

Spatha X could be the best mouse there is for gamers but as of now it is just paper weight.

Just got my Spatha x and doing rapid / side button configs. Thinking it was going to be easy like my g502 lightspeed, NOPE!!

Why in the world is there no disable profile switch?  "Light bulb"  I see a post from 1yr and change ago, still no update fix for this? SMH...

You call this a gaming mouse but yet, you can't even use the 6 side buttons to use individually. Those side buttons I use to switch between weapons on Fortnite or any other game. But can't do that with Spatha x gaming mouse, because it profile switches.

I'll be returning this mouse in 25 days if no update. To fix this issue that should have been done from the start. As of now this is not a gaming mouse whatsoever.  My G502 lightspeed, now that is a gaming mouse.

please fix this issue ASAP. this can be the mouse.

If you are profile switching then that probably means you keep pressing the DPI button while you press the side buttons. You can learn more about how to use the Spatha X by checking the quick start guide.
