Keris II Ace Wireless Firmware update fails with "Update failed. Please try again. (50)"

Hello  everyone,

when I opened Armory Crate Gear ROG KERIS II ACE 1.0.2.0 today I got the message that a Firmware update is available.

This is the Versions that were shown when I got the Firmware Update notice:

I connected the Dongle with the Booster via the adapter and the cable to my PC. The 
Mouse was connected via a cable too to the PC. I set the mouse to Wired Mode (middle position of the switch).

When I tried to  update it said "Update failed. Please try again. (50)".

I then started the Dongle Update manually from the "C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ArmouryDevice\Firmware\6862" Folder via the file "FW_Update_Tool_Unify_Dongle.exe". This went through but downgraded the Firmware to Version 6.00.23. And now it looks like that in Armory Crate Gear:

I still get the notice that a Firmware Upgrade is available but it still always fails with "Update failed. Please try again. (50)".

I tried:

• Starting Armory Crate Gear in Admin Mode.
• Uninstalled Armory Crate Gear and all other ASUS Software. Rebooted. Reinstalled.
• Powered off PC, removed power cable, switched off PSU, held Power button for 30 seconds. Unplugged Mouse and Dongle. Rebooted. Reconnected Mouse and Dongle.

I am always getting the same "Update failed. Please try again. (50)" error, sometimes the Progress Bar is starting for a second other times it immediately fails.

I would really like to  be able to upgrade to the newest Firmware Version(s).

In the "C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ArmouryDevice\Firmware" folder I have these folders:

• 6862
• 6934
• 6938
• Tools

Hey unfortunately I don't have an answer for you, but the same is happening to my Scope 96 II. Same error (50)

I have the same issue with ROG Harpe Ace Extreme.

Device version: 1.00.15
Dongle version: 6.00.25
Booster version: 2.00.13

Got the same issue with my Impact 3 wireless, this mouse doesn't have a cable (battery Operated) I got the same message to update firmware and error (50).
