I bought a Keris II Ace Mouse and Armoury Crate refuses to detect the OMNI Receiver. It's there in Device Manager but not in Armoury Crate. I tried different USB ports and different PCs and it doesn't get detected.
Is it possible to buy another OMNI Receiver without having to buy another Keris II Ace?

I had unpaired my Keris II from the Falchion receiver previously but I paired it again and was able to successfully update the Keris II that way.
Then I unpaired the Keris II from the Falchion receiver.
I used the Armoury Crate uninstaller to uninstall Armoury Crate then installed the program again from your link.
After a couple restarts I could see the Keris II OMNI Receiver in my device list but am still getting this error message.

Ok, so a little progress with the Keris II Ace's ROG Omni Receiver showing in the Device list, but still getting the error.
Try both wired and 2.4GHz wireless mode. Do you get the error trying with both?
What is the update at the update center?

I can't try with wireless because the Keris II can't connect to the OMNI Receiver because I get that error.
Only thing I can do is keep trying with wired.
That recent update was the content platform update.

Hey nevermind Amazon had a sale so I bought another Keris II Ace. The OMNI Receiver works on this one.

Hi Nate, I think I have figured out what went wrong. I just purchased a third Keris II Ace for another PC and connected it to the PC with the USB cable and also connected the OMNI Receiver for the mouse. I attempted to update the Keris II Ace firmware but received the same error message when I clicked on the OMNI Receiver in the Devices section of Armoury Crate. I realized that I had not connected to the OMNI Receiver wirelessly yet, so I did so and was able to update the firmware successfully. I was also able to click on the OMNI Receiver in the Devices page without receiving any error messages.
Essentially, with the previous defective mouse, I never initially connected the Keris II Ace to its OMNI Receiver. I had taken it out of the box and immediately connected it to the OMNI Receiver for the Falchion Low Profile so that I could use two devices with one OMNI Receiver. By doing so, I permanently lost the connection to its original OMNI Receiver and was never able to “activate” the OMNI Receiver for use. Apparently, you must activate the OMNI Receiver for use by connecting it to its original Keris II Ace. You can then connect it to another OMNI Receiver. If you do not do this, you will lose connection to the OMNI Receiver permanently and that Receiver cannot be used.

hello, I have the same situation. I actually did the same thing with Keris II and Harpe Ace, but harpe ace has a firmware tool which can be used to update mouse and omni receiver firmware (essentially reconnecting them again). So my harpe is working.
I was wondering if there is by any chance the same tool for Keris II?

I took your advice and visited the Keris II Ace support page to look for a firmware updater. However, all I could find was the polling rate enhancer firmware updater. When I tried to use it, the “YES” button to update was greyed out.
I thought updating Armoury Crate might resolve the issue, so I went into Armoury Crate and found several updates available. I clicked “Update All,” and to my surprise, my Keris II Ace firmware updated. Now, I no longer get errors when I go into the OMNI Receiver section under devices.
It seems my issue is fixed. I didn’t do anything special except wait a while and hit the “Update All” button.
Thanks for suggesting I revisit the issue.
This was wrong. I was updating the wrong mouse. I forgot I put the Keris II with the bad OMNI Receiver in my drawer.
I still don't have access to the original OMNI Receiver because I never activated it with it's original mouse first.

Well, things are getting interesting here.. I'm very happy you were able to resolve your issue, I was able to as well, but my fix was different - hopefully one of them will help future debuggers.
Because I had two mice, and both were screwed (unusable dongles), I was thinking hard about how to make it work even without the firmware updater for Keris 2. Some time passed and then it hit me: I can use the firmware updater for Harpe Ace for both dongles. Here is what I did:
1. connected Harpe Ace and the first dongle to the PC, used the firmware updater
2. opened armory crate and opened the omni receiver in device list
3. it showed that it is paired to the Harpe Ace (as expected) - I unpaired the Harpe Ace from this dongle
4. at this point, the first dongle was now usable (not paired with any device = free to pair with anything, will be used to pair with Keris 2)
5. kept Harpe Ace (which is unpaired atm) plugged in, plugged out the first dongle and plugged in the second dongle (unusable atm)
6. did a firmware update with this one as well, after that it was successfully paired to Harpe Ace and usable in armory crate
7. plugged out the second dongle and Harpe Ace as well - FIRST MOUSE FIXED!
8. plugged in the first dongle (which is now unpaired = usable) again, opened armory crate and started the pairing process (mouse)
9. on Keris 2 I pressed the pairing button and voila, it was now paired again - SECOND MOUSE FIXED!
Both mice are now usable. Let me tell you, I feel like a genius 😄

haha that's awesome you figured it out
