Difficulty with connecting to OMNI receiver

I have a new Strix Scope II 96 wireless keyboard and Harpe Ace Aim Lab mouse.  I am trying to connect both with the omni receiver from the wireless keyboard.  When I plug both in with USB cables and set them to the USB/off position, and plug the ROG Omni Receiver in windows devices, but it doesn't appear in Armoury Crate list of devices:

I have updated all firmware apart from a single piece for the keyboard shown below.  When I try to do this, it tells me to connect my device with both a USB cable and a 2.4ghz receiver, and switch to wired/off mode.  I done this, but when I click OK it just goes back to the update page without doing anything.

They keyboard is connected to the omni receiver, I can unplug the keyboard USB cord and set it to wireless (not bluetooth) and it works fine.  But since the omni receiver isn't visible in the Amoury crate, I have no way to connect the mouse.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Hello Dr0rrery

If you were using your ROG Harpe Ace with its ROG Omni Receiver, you'll want to unpair it from that Omni Receiver before pairing it to your keyboard's Omni Receiver.

Have you updated your keyboard and wireless dongle to the ROG Omni Receiver? Just want to make sure what's showing on the windows page isn't your ROG Harpe Ace's ROG Omni Receiver.

If the ROG Omni Receiver isn't showing in the Armoury Crate Device list, it's possible you haven't updated it.

I have exactly the same problem, but only with the keyboard. when I switch to 2.4mode, the keyboard works and the keys are pressed, but armory crate does not see the keyboard. in the device manager, I see Omni receiver, but armory crate does not see it. when I connect the keyboard by wire, I am offered to upgrade, but for this you need to have both a wire and a dongle that is not detected

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the wireless dongle, could try a different pc usb port as well. You can use pc case usb ports and/or motherboard usb ports to connect the cable and wireless dongle.

You could also try reinstalling Armoury Crate.

1) Uninstall Armoury Crate from windows.

2) Reboot your pc.

3) Install Armoury Crate version 3.2.11.2  - Armoury Crate - Support (asus.com)

4) Do the updates at the Armoury Crate update center.

Does this get the ROG Omni Receiver to show in the Armoury Crate Device list?

Unfortunately no, it didn't help, when I download version 3.2.11.2 in the settings for some reason I see version 5.9.4.0

I even tried using another PC, downloaded Armory Crate there and it still didn't help

sory, last line means "very strange but I can use aura backlight, the keyboard shows as "Keyboard with individual backlight""
