I just bought the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless keyboard and it came with the new Omni receiver. I thought I saw that the Harpe Ace was compatible with the receiver, but it is not pairing. I have updated the firmware and Armoury Crate software, is there something else I need to do?

ok, I've got some good news!
A firmware update that upgrades the receiver for the Harpe Ace into an Omni Receiver is available now

Hey SimPat,
You're right -- the Harpe Ace is listed as being compatible with the Omni receiver, but Omni receiver functionality is not quite ready yet within Armoury Crate. I don't have a specific date on when the software release is, but I'm being told it's coming soon!
Do you see the Omni receiver under devices, or do you just see your mouse and keyboard separately?

That's great news! I was hoping that it would some sort of software update. I do see the Omni receiver as a separate device, along with the paired keyboard. I am using the mouse wired right now, so that is showing up as well. But when I disconnect the wire and switch to 2.4 hz mode it doesn't connect. So I'm hoping that software update solves that.
Another question, so will the USB receiver that came with the Harpe Ace be software updated so that it becomes an Omni receiver? Or will the Harpe mouse start shipping out with the new Omni receiver? I just bought mine and would like to know if I need to return it and wait to get it with the new receiver. Thanks!

Hey SimPat, sorry for the late reply!
When you click on the omni receiver as a separate device in Armoury Crate, what do you see there? My understanding is that the Omni Receiver page within Armoury Crate should be imminent if not already available. Unfortunately I don't have a Scope II 96 yet to test it out!
Let me get back to you on the details of the Harpe Ace receiver-- I don't know what the exact situation is, but I'm trying to get some clarity from ROG.

I too purchased the ROG Strix Scope II 98 Wireless keyboard. And unfortunately, I too am having the same problem connecting my mouse to the Omni Receiver.
It's is my understanding that this Omni receiver is an exclusive to this model keyboard. The ability to connect the mouse and keyboard simultaneously through one device. I do not foresee the mouse coming out with the same type of receiver. It will always be the Dongle until further notice.
Now, I also read that you were able to obtain the listing for compatible devices to the Omni receiver. Would you mind supplying a link to that listing. I contacted Asus and spoke to the Project Manager and asked for that very same list. The question was evaded. When I contacted Tech support via phone, the woman directs to me to a listing for compatible devices to Armoury Crate. I want to obtain the listing for compatible devices to this Omni Receiver.
Doesn't ASUS benchmark their products???? I am sure if they would did, they would have realized the problem with paring a mouse to this receiver.
What really gets to me, is that I have a Logitech, and a Microsoft Wireless keyboard and mouse. Pairing is practically automatic. Microsoft provides a pairing button not just on the device, but their dongle as well. Logitech, you use plug in the dongle, and press pair on the device, and that's all.

It is mentioned on their Harpe Ace product webpage: https://rog.asus.com/us/mice-mouse-pads/mice/ambidextrous/rog-harpe-ace-aim-lab-edition-model/ that it comes with the Omni receiver. I was assuming that there would be some sort of firmware/software update coming to the Harpe Ace or the receiver it comes with. After looking at both receivers, they look exactly the same (they even have the same model number, just the serial number was different) The moderator mentioned that an update would be coming soon, but I haven't seen it yet. I'm pretty sure it'll come because of the advertising mentioned in the Strix Scope II keyboard and Harpe Ace mouse being Omni receiver compatible.

I reviewed both devices, and you are accurate in your statement. The question is, why are they included a receiver with the mouse at all, when the keyboard already has one? You should be able to just buy the mouse, and automatically connect it to the Omni Receiver supplied with the keyboard. Remember, that the receiver is designed to connect "one" keyboard, and "one" mouse. Using Bluetooth, you can get up to three devices.
What happened three zone LED lights??? Now, it is only the scroll wheel. I am not sure if games are going to like that.
I still haven't received answer to my original question. What mice are compatible with this new Omni Receiver? From the look of things, any mouse manufactured before 2023 will not be compatible.
Mr. Moderator, are you listening?

The reason for including a receiver with the mouse is that there are people that have the mouse but not a Scope II 96 (such as me!) I'm using an Azoth keyboard with my Harpe Ace, so having the mouse dongle is handy for me.
Regarding three-zone LED lights, are you referring to the Harpe Ace? It was always a single-zone LED mouse, and since it's targeting the ultra-lightweight mouse category my guess is that it was a decision to make the mouse lighter weight. I don't have any insight into the development process and decision-making process, but that would be my best guess.
For your question on what mice are compatible with the Omni receiver, I unfortunately don't have any info right now. You have as much info as I have on that one based on the product pages. I'll try to ask and see if I can get some information, but for the time being, going by the product pages is the best way to know. Also, you gotta give me some time to answer! I'm just a volunteer after all 🙂

1) ROG Keris Wireless AimPoint
2) ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition Winner 2023
3) ROG Gladius III Wireless AimPoint
The above listed mice have the ROG SpeedNova wireless technology. Even though they make no reference to the Omni receiver with the exception of the Harp, they share the same wireless technology.
The question is, would the two of the three be compatible with the Omni Receiver as well?

The Harpe Ace is listed as having an Omni receiver as well, so it's not exclusive to the Scope II 96.
I know it's frustrating to not be able to find the information-- I really do! Unfortunately don't have the list of devices either. I was just going by the description on the Harpe Ace product page (the one SimPat linked)
