ASUS ROG Strix Impact III Wireless – Firmware 4.00.02 Lighting Lag Issue

Hello,

I recently purchased the ASUS ROG Strix Impact III Wireless mouse and updated its firmware to version 4.00.02 via the Armoury Crate Gear application. After the update, I noticed the following issue:

• If I completely turn off the lighting or select the Static lighting mode, the mouse experiences stuttering and lag.
• However, when using other lighting options (e.g., breathing effect or color cycle), the issue does not occur.
• When I reverted to the previous firmware version, the problem disappeared.

Currently, I am using the latest firmware but avoiding the Static and Off lighting modes to prevent this issue.

Are you aware of this problem? Do you plan to release a fix for this in an upcoming update?

Same here, the mouse seems to freeze if you turn off the RGB and it happens a few seconds after the mouse idles. What seems to be helping is keeping the lights on, but setting the brightness to 0%
