Asus Rog Keris Wireless Aimpoint Slow Movement during Small Inputs

Hey,

I feel like I have a weird issue, or I'm not sure if it's working as intended.

Using my Logitech Pro Wireless and G203 Prodigy as reference, I'm used to running a mouse at higher sensitivities. 6400 DPI has been my go-to.

I'm used to making really small adjustments with high sensitivity, and I've never really had any issues with my Logitech Pro wireless or even my cheaper G203 Prodigy.

However, when using the Keris, when I make small adjustments it seems like it's really slow to respond or pick up the movements. It's almost as if it's running at a lower DPI when I make small movements. I haven't noticed this with any other mice I've used. Is there something wrong with this mouse? Is it just a normal thing with this sensor?

It just doesn't seem to respond well to small movements compared to the G203 or Pro Wireless. I've tried changing the polling rates and it didn't seem to make a difference in the Armoury Crate software. This is also with all the latest updates. It doesn't seem to make a difference if I use it wired or wireless.

It's less noticeable when I go to lower DPI settings and speed up the mouse in windows, but I can't stand how jumpy the cursor gets because of that.

Not sure if this also just more noticeable because I'm using it on a 4k 48" TV.

Am I crazy or is this normal?

I don't have The ROG Keris, but I have a few other ROG mice.

In Armoury Crate, you should have a calibration page, you can select the preset surfaces or calibrate your mouse manually.

Does this help with the jumpiness?

I would say it helped. It took a couple attempts with different speeds and it's definitely better, but it still happens occasionally. Thanks for the help, this is definitely more usable.

Is it still jumpy in both wired and wireless mode?

Some ROG mice come with a usb extender to get the wireless receiver closer to the mouse, this can help with jumpiness too. But unfortunately, the ROG Keris doesn't come with one.

Sometimes a small piece of debris can get caught in the sensor causing erratic behavior, I use a dry q-tip to make sure the sensor is clean.
