TokyoTR
Level 7

"Hello friends, my Asus ROG Gladius 2 mouse is giving an error, the lights are not turning on, and the buttons are not working. I did some research online and it seems that I need the firmware file, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Can you help me? (Note: I tried updating from Armoury Crate, but the mouse doesn't appear there.)"

no it didnt fix

Despite trying everything, it's not working, Nate. From what I've seen on the internet and in our previous conversations, it seems that we need to put the firmware file into the folder in the image above. Many users who encountered this kind of error solved it this way

Ok, since that didn't work, try manually resetting your ROG Gladius II.

1) Disconnect the cable from the usb port.

2) Press and hold down, left click, right click and scroll click buttons for 5 seconds. Reconnect the cable to a pc usb port and see if this gets it working.

3) If that didn't help, try uninstalling your ROG Gladius II from device manager and reboot. In device manager, it may show under "Keyboards" and " Mice and other pointing devices".  Uninstall both if it does and reboot.

Does this get your ROG Gladius II working?

Hello Nate, first of all, the mouse does not appear at all in Device Manager, either as hidden or visible. Secondly, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Armoury Crate program. Thirdly, I pressed the mouse buttons to reset it, but there was no light or any response. Fourthly, I ran the Gladius 2 Fix Tool, but it didn't help either. The only solution I can think of from the videos and forums I've watched is to delete the firmware file mentioned at the beginning of the issue and install your own driver inside. I believe this is the only solution. Could you help me with the file?

If the firmware repair tool didn't help and the other above suggestions didn't help, and it's not showing in device manager or Armoury Crate, this could be a sign your ROG Gladius II has gone faulty.

I'm not sure there is much more I can do as I only have access to the same files you do. So, I will suggest to contact an official Asus Support Center for your region.

I'd be interested to know if they are able get your ROG Gladius II working and what the resolution was.
