I have an Asus pugio 2 device. I selected the sleep mode setting as 1 minute in the settings, but the rgb lighting does not go to sleep mode.

Could you repeat the steps, but hold the buttons for longer until the LED comes on?
1. Hold LEFT and RIGHT mouse buttons (do not let go)
2. Connect the USB cable from a charger (not PC) to the mouse.
3. Wait until the LED comes on.
Please let me know what the LEDs are showing, constant green? (to indicate battery is fully charged) or rainbow colors (demo mode)?

My problem was fixed. While connecting my mouse to a power adapter (not a computer), I long held the right and left click and the leds went off. Then when I plugged it into my computer, it went to sleep mode.

You might be in 'demo mode', try to disconnect the mouse, hold left and right mouse buttons while you connect the USB cable.

Can you connect the mouse to a phone charger (or portable battery) and let me know what happens with the lighting?

RGB lights keep flashing. It never goes out. The RGB lights continue to turn on whether I charge it or not. Previously, when the charge dropped below 25, RGB would glow red, but it is not like that anymore.

There were rainbow colors. Kafar gave low battery warning

If you see rainbow colors, then you are in demo mode, That's not what you want. Repeat the same process to get out of demo mode. Verify if your lighting effects have returned to normal.
