Strix scope 2 96 wireless - update firmware

Hi,

I just got a ROG strix scope 2 96 wireless.

In the Update center, an update is possible for the firmware. It fails every time with this message :

I suppose the problem comes from my ROG omni receiver being not detected by armoury crate, he's not visible in the devices :

It's detected by windows 10 and if i put the keyboard in wireless mode, he's working...

The asus framework for ROG omni receiver is ok 

what I tried :
- restart
- uninstall armoury crate (with the tool) and reinstall
- change usb port
- ...

Any idea how to fix this 😞 ?

Hello moka

Follow these steps to update your ROG Strix Scope II 96 wireless in Armoury Crate.

1) Connect the cable to your keyboard and a pc usb port.

2) Set the wireless switch on your keyboard to wired mode (switch set to the center position).

3) Connect the wireless dongle to a pc usb port.

4) Try the update in Armoury Crate.

Does this get your keyboard updated?

This is what I've been trying since the beginning.
In every guide i saw, like this one :

I have to see the ROG Omni receiver in the list of devices. In my case he's not visible, only the keyboard is visible in wired mode.

I'm not sure why it's not updating to the ROG Omni Receiver,  try this.

1) Uninstall Armoury Crate from Windows.

2) Restart your pc.

3) Install Armoury Crate Gear and do the firmware update. - ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless | Gaming keyboards｜ROG - Republic of Gamers｜ROG Global (asus.com)

Let me know if this gets you updated to the ROG Omni Receiver.

Now that you've updated to the ROG Omni Receiver, you can uninstall Armoury Crate Gear and Install Armoury Crate.

Yeah, that's what I did.
Now all devices appear and everything works fine.
