ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless random keys not working

harris03

Had to plug my old keyboard into my PC to write this.

New keyboard arrived yesterday, was working fine, no issues at all!

Installed this flipping rubbish Armoury crate software and now it's disabled my o,l,',',9 and 3 on the numbpad.

Plugging keyboard into other PC still had the same issue util I plugger the keyboard back into my PC and the problem went away!

Super confused if there is some sort of button I've pressed to disable those unique keys or what?

I have already done the following:

  1. reset keyboard using f+esc
  2. reinstalled armoury crate
  3. reverted PC back before driver install - worked until I reinstalled the software....
  4. updated bios and firmware again

Hi Nate

The number key works fine to enable and disable numb keys.

Last night after resetting my whole PC the keyboard worked as intended with all keys working fine.

Now this morning the keys have disabled themselves again...

This confirms it's not a faulty hardware issue...

Try resetting your keyboard by pressing and holding the Fn + Esc keys until the led's flash green.

Hey man,

Yep tried that a few times still no luck, it's an odd one I don't think it's armoury crate causing this, after uninstall ingredients the software it's still not working. What's driving me crazy is that on two occasions I've got them to work but with no real reason as to how I got it to work so I know the keyboard works as it should.

Is it something to do with the omni receiver or some way I'm putting the keyboard into a specific mode that disables those keys?

I doubt it's the ROG Omni Receiver causing issues.

Have you tried resetting your keyboard in Armoury Crate?

I'm afraid I have tried everything to get it to work, but no luck at all!

I called Asus support and they were not much help which was a shame.

I thought it could possibly be a macro key which has been pressed that disables keys or something like that.

Something else to try is running the windows keyboard troubleshooter.

Does it find and fix the problem?

Sorry to hear none of the things we've tried is helping.

Testing with mine:

After resetting with the FN + Esc keys, all you should need to do is press then Num key, a 1 should light up at the top of the screen to the left of the numpad.

All numbers and symbols should be working.

If yours are not, then it seems there may be an issue with the numpad.

Does Armoury Crate find any updates?
