ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless firmware update loop

If I "Check for Updates" it tells me there's a "Device Firmware" for "Version: 6.00.19" (attachment before update.png). Checking the keyboards "Firmware Update" page it lists the "Keyboard version: 7.0.00.01" (attachment before update_2.png).

Why the discrepancy?

If I choose to "Update" I get the popup textbox and after pressing Yes it "Installing" and the result is attachment "after update.png". Checking the keyboards "Firmware Update" page it lists the "Keyboard version: 7.0.00.01" (attachment after update_2.png).

Everything looks ok until I hit "Check for Updates". It tells me "Loading" and the spinning circle. After this it again tells me there's a "Device Firmware" for "Version: 6.00.19".

Also, the ROG OMNI RECEIVER seems to differ when comparing the Update Center and the device page? (omni_1.png vs omni_2.png)

What´s going on?

Hello Blofeld

It looks like you've updated to the ROG Omni Receiver and the dongle version looks up to date.

To do the keyboard firmware update in Armoury Crate, follow these steps:

1) Connect the cable to your keyboard and a pc usb port.

2) Set the wireless switch on your keyboard to wired mode (switch set to the center position).

3) Connect the wireless dongle to a pc usb port.

4) Try the update in Armoury Crate.

My problem is not how to update but that it is stuck in a loop with inconsistent behaviour.

Perhaps my first post was confusing?

Hi Nate,
Long time no communications. I have been out of the game for a long while, long story.

I am loving the Strix Scope II 96, it's awesome don't you think. I am having all sorts of problems, one being I can't post a new thread.
I unboxed yesterday just after I did a fresh install of windows 11. 

My problem is I can only get the keyboard working in wired mode. I can't even work out how to take a screen shot. 
My KB is running V 5.00.02 and the Dongle v 4.00.02

I am stuck in a similar loop as Blofeld. The armory crate comes up with a window telling me to move my switch to wired which I have done, but then it does not update, just goes back to the update centre. There is no update showing for the OMNI rx. 

I also cannot connect via WiFi or Bluetooth. It shows my Gladius III Aimpoint and the Scope II in the Bluetooth field, but when I switch it to Bluetooth the kb disappears from the device list under Bluetooth and the KB no longer functions.

Good to see you on the forum, let's see if I can help you.

I suspect you haven't updated to the ROG Omni Receiver as my versions are newer. Once updated, the ROG Omni Receiver will show in the Armoury Crate Device list. Does the ROG Omni Receiver show in your Armoury Crate Device list?

Yes mate it does. I scan for an update and it doesn't give an option.

Comparing your versions to mine, you look updated. The Device Firmware it's showing an update for looks like an older version. 

You could try resetting your keyboard by pressing and holding the Fn+Esc keys until the led's flash green, then try the update in Armoury Crate.

It sure does. What is strange though is why it defaults back to an old ver and tells me there is an update available.

Ok, very good, you've updated to the ROG Omni Receiver.

At the bottom left of your Armoury Crate page, click Settings, it looks like you have an update at the update center.

What is the update for?

That is for the keyboard mate. That is the problem. The keyboard won't connect either via wireless or bluetooth, but I can't up date it.
