ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless adding characters

I absolutely love the Scope II 96, but when typing, I randomly get ; as an input when my fingers are nowhere near the key. Is it a setting or something I can change?

Hello JimmyH

Check there's no debris under the keycap.

If it happens to be a bad switch, the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless comes with a switch puller, you can easily swap out switches.

Do you know if yours has the Snow or the Storm switches?

Amazon.com: ASUS ROG NX Snow Switches (10 pcs), Pre-Lubed, 1.8mm Actuation Point, PC & POM housing, ...

Hey Nate, it has been happening since new, and is only occasionally. They are Snow switches and I keep it clean and up to date.
I thought it could have been a wireless thing.

You could try resetting your keyboard by pressing and holding the Fn + Esc keys until the led's flash green.

You could try moving the wireless dongle closer to your keyboard with the usb extender, I use this myself.

To use the usb extender:

1) Grab the usb extender and the charging cable from the box.

2) Connect the charging cable to your pc's usb port, you can use motherboard or pc case usb ports.

3) Connect the usb extender to the charging cable.

4) Connect the wireless dongle to the usb extender.

5) Clip the usb extender to your mouse pad.

6) Test to see if the semicolon randomly appears.
