ROG Strix Flare Spacebar Key press also registers Enter

Hi,

I have a ROG Strix Flare mechanical keyboard, and yesterday the Spacebar started having issues.

Basically, when I press Spacebar, it registers the key press, but also registers the Enter key from Numpad a moment later.

There is no dust whatsoever, keyboard is clean. Also, I tried it on several PCs and OSes, the fault seems to be with the keyboard.

Any clues as to what causes this and how can I fix it?

Hello Indru,

Do you have Armoury Crate installed and fully updated?

Try resetting your ROG Flare by pressing and holding the Fn + Esc keys for 10-15 seconds.

Came here to mention FN + ESC solved my problem. I found the information here, before seeing your reply: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5gGZ84MIKs

I do not have Armoury Crate, as I am on Linux. I have no idea how a hardware Macro could have been configured on my ROG Strix Flare without me being aware, maybe there's some key combination that triggers it.

Nevertheless, holding FN + ESC for 10 seconds while all the keys blinked red solved my problem once they turned green.

Hope this helps other people in my conundrum as well.
