I want to know if my keyboard is broken and I have to replace it or if asus ROG has found a way to fix this problem. I did everything as of today to do all the fixes that have been listed in these other threads except try removing the battery.

Are there any problems using it after I remove the battery? I like how the keyboard keys are quiter than my other steelseries keyboard so I would still like to use it if I can even without a battery.

if the battery is heavy (means need to replace). once you remove the battery the keyboard will return to its normal size and form. YOU CAN USE The unit with the cable that comes with the unit, until you get a replacement with NO issues what so ever. you will have no wireless funtions. and all keys funtions will be the same if the unit you use it on cable with rf off.
The keyboard will sound the same as the day you get it WILL NOT HAVE any changes on it. The claymore 2 IS NOT a mechanical keyboard. is optical. and use ASUS RX optical switches.
In fact my falchion use the same battery and i use it perfect with no battery. the only will appear on ac that is 100% charge but is cause there is no battery. aside that ...... work perfect.
NOTE: DO NOT USE ANY METAL to remove the battery from the metal plate. take you time it will remove from the casing with no issue what so ever so take you time with it. the keyboard goes ONLY 1 way you will see it when you open it. it appears that will not but you will why so do not force it. be nice with it.and check the side cables how those go in.ONLY GOES 1 way. get a sharpy and mark the orentacion. there rest is a aventure.
