ROG AZOTH OLED Custom Img/Animation Not Working

I recently got a ROG AZOTH keyboard and when I try to upload a gif or png, it just doesn’t work.

I’ve tried multiple times and looked at some other posts which solved their problem but not mine.

The only thing that works in the OLED screen is the preset animations from Asus.

Hello mjtherock

I just uploaded one from Giphy, try this:

1) Select your Gif.

2) Right click on it and click "Save image as"

3) Save it to your pictures.

4) In Armoury Crate select Custom image/animation.

5) Click Replace File.

6) Select your gif from your pictures, it will take a few minutes to upload.

How does this go?

Thank you for replying. Unfortunately, the GIF still doesn’t work. I used one from Giphy, but it still looks the same. It's not just the GIF, it's the PNGs too.

This page shows certain requirements. Perhaps try pic to gif tools to manipulate for what you're after.

I tried that too, it's still the same. Also, the same thing happens when I try to use a custom banner.

I'm still assuming you're doing something wrong here. I take it the stock animations work just fine?

Yeah, the preset animations work fine but when I try to use custom animations it doesn’t work. I might be doing something wrong but so far I’ve followed all the steps carefully but the animation/image looks distorted, same with the custom banner. I used ezgif website to resize the gif to meet the requirement too.

I’m not sure if it’s the keyboard or not but it’s very odd. The Armoury Crate says it will resize/optimize the image or gif if it goes over the frames or size but it still doesn’t work.

Try installing/reinstalling this firmware update, it will update your ROG Azoth to support the ROG Omni Receiver.
