Hello, I created a new post since my old one got locked after months of no updates. I'm back posting now because I finally have some conclusive updates. TLDR, my Azoth is probably broken beyond repair.
For background, here is the original post detailing my problems and the DIY fixes I tried:
After this, I decided to message Asus to see if they had any official keyboard repair services here in Manila or if they could make an exception and have keyboard exchanged (It was still only 4 months after warranty expired). Took around another 3 or 4 months of talking with Asus Customer Service but they did not allow mine to be exchanged anymore.
So what I did next is look for a 3rd party repair service here in Manila. Found one, got my keyboard checked, after 3 weeks of waiting, they finally got back with me. They said that there was a problem with the power management chip on the board and this started affecting everything else (that's why my keyboard started freezing and won't respond even if connected with the USB cable). They couldn't fix it anymore as they didn't have the parts for replacement and that it would be too expensive to have it replaced.
As to what caused this problem, they couldn't give me an exact answer. They said that it looked like the part was consumed on its own. I don't know what it means but they said it was like a light bulb that just went out on its own. They said it might be a factory defect since they found no trace of short circuit or corrosion.
Honestly, this was a big disappointment especially with only a 1 year warranty. This keyboard was worth more than Php 10,000. If it were something like a Php 4,000 or Php 3,000 keyboard, I would have just taken this loss and moved on. But the fact that this was double or triple this price and marketed as a premium keyboard, I really expected more.
So my advice to anyone having problems now with their Azoth not charging, have it exchanged. If it fixes it self after a reset or reinstall of AC software, observe it for a while, if the problem returns then have it exchanged as early as you can. I hope this helps people who have the same problem with mine and thanks to the person who replied to my first post trying to help me. Unfortunately, the problem was probably already beyond fixable when I posted.
