I have rog strix scope II 96 wireless X901 NX snow with failing rgb. Not software. Plenty of post asking about the kind used online but it seems no one ever gets an answer as to what size, number of pins type is used or a capable replacement. I will in the end figure it out the hard way if this info is not available to save me grief.
So if anyone has had the opportunity to fix theirs prior, plz feel free to enlighten me.

Having a look at a switch from my ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless, they look exactly the same.
The lighting comes from where the red mark is.

thanks for the link. unless asus updated these switches mine have led mounted thru the socket. The light does look like it comes from within the switch but when you pull it the led is not part of. So it is either part of socket or soldered directly to pcb. I'll take a look inside after a few "to do" get finished.

Thank you
Sorry about that, I never had to change an led in a keyboard, it looked like the led was in the switch.
ASUS gives a 1-year warranty on their keyboards in most countries. If your keyboard is within the 1-year purchase date, I'll suggest to contact an official ASUS Support Center for your region.
