Make Future Keyboard Feature Suggestions Here!

xeromist
Moderator
Hi all,

ASUS ROG is requesting our best suggestions for ROG product improvements. As a moderator I won’t have the ability to implement your suggestions but I will be picking some of the best to highlight for the ROG team so they know what matters to us, the community.

Some guidelines for this thread:
1) Keep it positive and constructive. In most of the forum I try to allow you all to express your thoughts freely (within reason). This thread has the express purpose of generating constructive suggestions so I will be moderating this thread and deleting posts that do not contribute to that goal.
2) Keep it concise and on topic. Some minor discussion regarding a specific suggestion is welcome but if you would like to have a longer conversation I ask you start an additional thread and link it in your post here. You can also request a moderator move your posts if you have need.
3) Try for realistic ideas that appeal broadly to gamers. A small improvement on an existing ROG product is much more likely to get chosen than an entirely new product that only matters to a small number of people.
4) Support your favorites! You don’t have to come up with a suggestion to help. If you see something you like, quote it and say so! More support for an idea improves its chances.

EDIT:
I’ve updated the titles for these feedback threads to reflect that this is primarily for *future* products. Sorry for the lack of clarity. While there is a chance some ideas could be implemented via software updates it’s most likely any suggestions would be rolled into new products.
Also, these threads are not for issue reporting and such posts won’t reach the right people. Please post issues in the ROG Care > Hardware & Software Support section. Or contact ASUS support via phone or email for immediate assistance.

" They can accessed anytime using FN + 1/2/3/4/5/6 "

I didn't know that, i should read the user manual or look better the software options. Thx so much for your time and replay.

Azoth Extreme – OLED Improvements & Feature Requests

Dear ASUS Team and Fellow Enthusiasts,

The Azoth Extreme has completely redefined my typing experience—it's a masterpiece of design and functionality. That said, I believe the OLED screen has untapped potential to elevate this keyboard even further. Here are some ideas I’d love to see implemented:

1. Enhanced Date/Time Display (Top Priority)

The current time is barely visible, and I want to see an analogue view or anything else with a tiny date written in the corner and not vice versa. Here are some cool ideas:

  • Luxury watch-inspired faces (Rolex, Patek Philippe)
  • or sleek Apple Watch-like designs.
  • Customization options for colors, fonts, and layouts to make it truly ours.

2. Productivity and Health Tools

Let’s use the OLED to improve our productivity and wellness:

  • A typing timer with break reminders to support healthy habits.
  • A simple Pomodoro timer for focused work sessions.

These small additions would make a big difference in daily life.

3. Weather & Sunset Info

Seeing the weather or/and a sunset reminder at a glance would be both functional and delightful—perfect for planning breaks or outdoor activities.

4. Hardware Monitoring Improvements

The current hardware monitoring has great potential, but:

  • Temperature readings can get stuck—please fix this glitch.
  • Adding visual charts (bar or line graphs) would make tracking trends easier and more intuitive.

Why These Features Matter
These upgrades would make the Azoth Extreme truly unmatched. They’d not only add practical value but also enhance the emotional connection we have with this exceptional keyboard.

How on earth has it been this long, but there is still no option for us to bind the "FN" key to another key, as well as, modifying/changing the default FN hotkeys on the Azoth Extreme? I feel like this is such an extremely useful feature for people that would like to change their "FN + key" to whatever they would like, similar to a layer feature. How is it not possible to do that on this $500 keyboard, but it's literally included on pretty much all other keyboards out there on the market even the ones that are like 1/5 of this keyboard's price?

I like the ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 and love the NX Snow switches. Tri-Mode comes in handy frequently. However, I would love to see a 100% layout option for this keyboard. I enjoy some games that use the number pad as well as home, end, pgup and pgdn keys.
Switching between those options using FN can be tricky when gaming.

The Omni Receiver would be more useful to us laptop users if it was possible to pair a keyboard and two mouses simultaneously. It's ok if only one mouse can be used at a time, as long as they can remain paired.

Being able to leave one dongle plugged into my laptop and have it work with the mouse and keyboard that live on my desk, or the mouse that lives in my bag without having to unplug and plug in different receivers would be awesome!

I'd also like to see Omni Receiver compatibility on some of the older models. In particular, the ROG Falchion/Falchion NX as it's my favorite keyboard.

Engineering and gaming.

I'd like to request a battery protection feature for wireless keyboards and mice that would limit charging to 80% maximum capacity. This is widely recognized as optimal for lithium-ion battery longevity and safety.

Additionally, it would be valuable to see battery health statistics through Armoury Crate, such as cycle count, temperature history, and overall health percentage.

**Why this matters:**
I use my wireless keyboard connected to the cable approximately 90% of the time, yet the battery recently bulged and nearly damaged the keyboard just after the warranty expired. A battery protection feature would not only extend the lifespan of these expensive peripherals but would also improve safety by reducing the risk of battery swelling and potential fire hazards.

For users like me who primarily use their "wireless" peripherals while plugged in, this feature would provide significant value with minimal downsides.

Would love to have the possibility to reconfigure also function key combinations. Or by the least swap them around, so that for example PGUP/PGDN could be swapped to Home/End.

I can remap Home/End to replace PGUP/PFDN, but I cannot have them replace the Home/End, so I effectively lose these functions.

If you mean you don't have access to the keys, Armoury Crate has a virtual keyboard available.

Well yeah, I could bind them somewhere else, but then I would lose whatever was there. I can get them from virtual keyboard yes, but swapping places with the FN keys is what I'm after.

I use the Home and End keys a lot when I’m dealing with text and files, so I want them easy to reach—no acrobatics required. On the other hand, I don’t use PgUp and PgDn as often, and when I do, it’s usually in bursts—scrolling through several pages in a row. That kind of usage works fine with the Fn key, since you just hold it down and move as much as you need. So overall, it makes more sense to have Home and End available by default for quick, one-off actions, and tuck PgUp/PgDn behind the Fn key instead.
