Issue with Being Kicked for Input Automation in Counter-Strike 2

Hello everyone,

I keep getting kicked out of my Steam games with this error message: "input automation." Steam Support informed me that it’s due to my keyboard having an input-automation feature (like "Snap Tap Mode" or SOCD) and that I need to disable it.

I’m using the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile, but I can’t find any mention of such features anywhere. I don’t understand why I’m being kicked. I’ve opened a ticket with Asus Support, but I haven’t received any response yet.

Do you have a solution for this issue?
Thank you.

Here’s the message from Steam:

As of the August 19th, 2024 update to Counter-Strike, players suspected of automating multiple player actions from a single game input may be kicked from matches for use of automation.

If you are using a keyboard that includes an input-automation feature (like "Snap Tap Mode" or SOCD) or you are using null binds, please disable the feature and/or remove the null binds from your config to avoid being disconnected.

We cannot adjust how input automation is detected at Steam Support, and if you are being disconnected for automation the issue lies with the way your input is being sent to the game. Due to the number of ways this kind of automation can be accomplished we cannot provide detailed support for this issue. We recommend checking your hardware or config to resolve the issue.

The Counter-Strike team is and will continue to evaluate data related to player disconnects for automation and make adjustments if needed.

Because we have provided all the information we have for your issue I'm closing this help request. If you have an unrelated issue please open a new help request and we will be happy to help.

My config :
ROG Strix
ROG Falchion RX Low Profile
ROG KERIS II ACE
ROG OMNI RECEIVER
ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM

I have the same keyboard & issue... this is ridiculous. I saw another post that said when they reached out to ASUS support the said pressing FN + Tab turns off the snaptap. I did this and I still get kicked, the way the keyboard tells you it's off or on is the same so you never really know which one it is until you test it in game. Even when testing it game and knowing it's off, it still kicks me from CS2.. FIX IT ASUS!! ADD THE SETTING IN THE APP !!!!

Hello,

Thank you for your patience. When toggling Speed Tap mode, the Speed Tap key LEDs will illuminate white to indicate Speed Tap ON, and red to indicate Speed Tap OFF. The hotkey for the ROG Falchion Low Profile is Fn + Tab, while it's Fn + Caps for the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless.

Please refer to the Speed Tap guide for more information and future updates.

You're saving my life! It works perfectly: FN + TAB. The Q & D (french keyboard) keys light up in red when the option is disabled. Thanks a lot, after three weeks without a response from support.

Glad to hear, are you not getting kicked now? Keep us updated if you get kicked again.

The problem is that it lights up red for on and off so you don't know whether it's on or off.

No, I don’t get kicked from the game anymore. And I notice the change in-game when I try to move right and left at the same time—my character no longer moves (which is the expected behavior). On my end, it lights up red to deactivate and white to activate.

The problem is that I think everytime you restart your PC that setting resets to ON.. you have to disable it everytime lol. ASUS FIX PLEASE!!!!!!

Any other fix for this? I have the same issue. Fn + Tab does nothing for me. Thanks.

Are you using the same keyboard we have mentioned in the post? RX falchion low profile? Is the keyboard in windows mode with the switch on the back? Make sure it is then try the FN + Tab.

The keyboard I have is ROG STRIX SCOPE II 96 WIRELESS. But same issue here. I am not sure what Windows mode is.

To give more context, I am aware of the issue. I can hold A then press D without letting go of A and this moves my character to the right. It's quick strafing and it's banned but I have no idea how to get rid of it. No such setting in Armoury Crate either unless I don't know where to look.
