Greetings and hello!
I just bought a Strix Scope II 96 and I instantly noticed that in wired mode the battery non-stop charges up to 100% and keeps getting charge to stay on 100%. That can't be healthy for the longevity of the battery! Also when I turn of the computer the keyboard receives getting charge and the RGB multifunction key is glowing green to indicate that. Do I really have to unplug the keyboard or the whole computer from power every time I shut down my computer so it does not get overcharged over night and glow? Is there no way to tell the keyboard to stop using the battery when in wired mode? Not to mention a way to make it stop charging when the computer is off and the battery is 100%? I do not wanna be forced to use the wireless mode only to keep the battery healthy, please help!

Hello TronBon94
Since the ROG Strix Scope II 96 wireless is a wireless keyboard, this is how it's meant to be used.
It would be a good idea to use 2.4GHz wireless mode and only connect the cable for charging or updating in Armoury Crate.
This is how I use mine.

Good evening Nate,
Thanks for your answer but what do you mean how it's meant to be used? The keyboard is sold to have "tri-mode connectivity: Use Bluetooth, low-latency RF or standard wired USB" but now you tell me the USB is mainly there to charge and I am forced to use RF or BT, with introduced latency compared to USB, because otherwise the product will damage its own battery over time by overcharging itself non-stop if I don't disconnect it from USB at full charge? That can't be! Seems like false advertisement... is there no way to disconnect the internal battery or the charging then connected in USB mode? Does Asus offer a new battery if one should notice a decrease in health even after the warranty? Should one buy a spare one? Can one buy a spare one?
- the best well wishes!

Maybe this is not the ideal keyboard for me but I really like the switches. Can one order a full set of NX Snows from Asus? I do not see them in the shop.

If you can't find them at the ASUS store, e-bay has them. - Rog Nx Switches for sale | eBay
This place might have them too. - SwitchOddities

Hey, thanks for the advice, I appreciate it!
Sadly switchoddities does seem to only sale the Red, Brown and Blue ROG NX, no Snow and Storm with the Red and Brown being sold out. Secondhand market could be a way yes but I have to find a seller who ships to Germany because if I look on Germany eBay I do not find switches as search results. Also for the used price of them switches with 130$ for a full set, which I think is expansive for used switches cause one gets a full set of Gazzew U4 RGB for 65$ new, maybe I should just keep the keyboard I got for 140€ on sale. Tho I have major problems with the software so far with bugs regarding LED and the power saving mode. Also I really wish one could program the RGB key next to the wheel to do more than switch thru the 4 modes of the wheel. I still have four days to return it so I will keep thinking about what I do...

What issue are you having with the led and power saving mode?

Like that the keyboard turning into power saving mode after one minute of inactivity and turning off the LEDs even tho the energy saving setting are turned off in Armoury Crate as well as in Windows 10 and every time it does that the keyboard loses also connection so on key presses it's wakes up in basis rainbow mode - thinks for a few seconds, turns back to Aura Sync mode and flashes 3 times the current effect of Aura Sync after few seconds of waking up. The same happens if I turn on the power saving mode inside Armoury Crate - it does not matter if I set a time or the setting "Decrease the keyboard LED brightness" the keyboard every time just shuts down after 60 seconds and loses connections. I already uninstalled Armoury Crate and Aura Sync with Revo uninstaller so no settings are left behind and reinstalled the programs clean but the problem remains.

Thank you,
The "Decrease the keyboard LED brightness" is for the lighting alert for when the keyboard needs charged.
I have mine set to 20%, when the battery reaches 20%, I can have the led's turn off or decrease in brightness.
If you have the sleep timer set, it's normal for the keyboard to shut off and show that your disconnected in Armoury Crate.

Ah, I did not know that the "Decrease the keyboard LED brightness" is for the lighting alert for when the keyboard needs power, it's says nothing about that anywhere if you have Armoury Crate set to German, that is good to know and explains that. Tho like I said I have disabled the sleep timer as well in the program as well as I have disabled every power saving settings in Windows 10 and the keyboard still turns off after 60 seconds. I can even set it to 10 minutes and it turns off after 60 seconds in wire mode.
