I've managed to fix the double-clicking/double-typing issue with my ROG Azoth keyboard. I didn't have to damage the PCB, install questionable software, or adjust Windows input settings.
The issue turned out to be a poron foam sheet located under the PCB (specifically, the sheet between the battery and the PCB).
Q: How did I fix it? A: There are actually two working methods:
Q: Why am I confident about this solution? A: I've been free from double-typing issues for 2 months now.
Q: Why specifically the foam sheet? A: The switches that started double-typing had a black substance on their contacts, while normal keys were clean. After disassembling the keyboard, I found a sticky foam sheet that had the same color as the substance. Putting two and two together, I reached this conclusion.
Q: What about other suggested solutions? A: Other solutions suggested replacing the switches, but the problem would return. I initially tried replacing switches too, but the issue came back after a couple of weeks. However, when I removed a problematic switch and cleaned the contact with alcohol to remove the black substance, the key would work normally for a week or two.
