Claymore II Disconnects and Reconnects Only When Connected Via USB-C to USB-C

Hello everyone,

Does anyone else have the issue of the Claymore II discnnecting and reconnecting while charging/connected via USB-C to USB-C?

This does not happen when connected via USB-A to USB-C, nor does it happen when operating in wireless mode. Firmware and Armoury Crate are fully up to date.

No other peripherals/components, like a GoPro, disconnect and reconnect on my USB-C port. The Claymore II is the only product that does this, and I'm debating whether or not I can trust ASUS enough to fix this in a timely manner. I really worry about ASUS's support and quality control. I should have learned my lesson, but for some reason I'm giving them another try.

Anyone have similar issues or info on how to fix this?

Welcome to ASUS. If the keys on the Claymore II didn't feel so smooth, I would not have bought it.

Hello Nate 152,

Well - the last 5 days there has been no further keyboard disconnections - whatever it was I did to cure it !! Previously it would disconnect several times in a day. But not now. Must have been something to do with the USB connections - I just moved some around and put the keyboard into a standard USB port using the adaptor supplied with the keyboard whereas before it had been in a motherboard C type USB socket. Fingers crossed - looks like it is OK now - for whatever reason.

And yes - to Prophet - I really like the tactile feel of the Claymore II keys. There's no key wobble like there was on the previous Corsair K95 Platinum keyboard I used to have.

Anyway - hopefully - my keyboard disconnect issues have gone away for good !! 🙂

Regards,

Richard
