Claymore 2 - can't assign "L-ALT" key to another key via Armory Crate

Using AC 5.6.8.0 and wanting to use numpad as a game pad. Assigned keys without an issue except for ALT. I choose key I want like "+" on the numpad for example, and I can assign any key pretty much - even L-CTRL and R-CTRL appear, except for ALT. Is this a "feature"?

Oh! it seems it's possible by holding down the opposite ALT key first then pressing the one you want. So if I want L-Alt as the key I can click in the "press the key box" - hold down the RIGHT Alt key, then press L-Alt and "L-Alt" appears in the assigned key box. Go figure!
