I recently bought the ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 after seeing good reviews and a reasonable price for a wireless mechanical keyboard. I did not know how horrible Armoury Crate was. I do now.
I know how to set up the on-the-fly macros using the keyboard functions, but I'd like to map macros to the multiwheel. The on-the-fly macro feature doesn't seem to allow this as it only responds to assignments from the standard keys on the keyboard.
THE PROBLEM: I'm not seeing "Macros" under the device section of Armoury Crate to set up macros using the software. Is the macro function not available in Armoury Crate for this particular device? I've already tried repairing the application along with a clean uninstall and reinstallation. Firmware is also up to date.
Am I overlooking something?

I have the same problem, alongside with no functionality in aura creator. This keyboard seems to be great out-of-the-box, but if you want to customize it, it apparently lacks of features which other Asus keyboards do have in the armoury crate software.

Yeah, I have the same issue with Aura Creator. I was satisfied enough with the armoury crate RGB options, but the limited macro options for a $175+ gaming keyboard has me strongly considering to return it, while I still can, via Amazon.

My keyboard (a different model) does have a "Macro" section, but it's utterly useless. I can only see and edit macros created from the software itself. And, as you mention, you don't have spare keys to assign the macros anyway.
I think these features are only meant to be advertised to influence your purchase decision, but nobody in the company cares whether they work. The app itself looks like a marketing tool to squeeze your personal data.
