ASUS ROG Strix Flare Keyboard - Windows shortcuts

OriginalOracle

I've been using this new keyboard (although it is not the Flare II version) for a month or so, an I like it fine.  But I have noticed that the  Windows logo keyboard shortcuts (like Windows + E, Windows + I, etc.) don't work.  I don't use them a great deal, so I've managed, but I decided to try to find out what the problem is.  The general consensus on the web is that it needs a driver update.  Can anyone confirm that?   And is there any way to get a driver update that doesn't require installing the meaningless software stuff I have no use for (Aura and Crate, I think)?  And finally, if installing them is required, is there any problem with uninstalling them once I update the keyboard driver?

Thanks.

Hello there!

There is a button on the Asus Strix Flare (next to the volume wheel, top left, looks like a Windows logo and a lock icon) that locks and unlocks the use of the Windows key. If that is lit up then your Windows Key is disabled.  Hope this helps.

Cheers!
