Just received the Asus Azoth and I can't update the firmware. Fully up to date Armoury Crate. I have the keyboard connected directly via USB, and in USB mode. I've also connected the dongle. Once I click update, I get the error "Encountered error trying to identify firmware version. Please reconnect device and click "check for updates" and try again. I've fully uninstalled armoury crate and reinstalled. Same error. Removed the Azoth driver from device manager and rebooted. After the driver re-installed, I tried the update again and it failed with the same message...
Installed Armoury Crate on a different computer and am getting the same error message. For reference, the keyboard is on version 3.00.21 and it's showing 3.00.24 as available.
How do you get this properly updated???? And no, I will not re-install Windows to get a keyboard's firmware updated...

Thank you for trying.
So, using the Armoury Crate uninstall tool and reinstalling didn't fix the device page error.
There was a small issue with Gigabyte motherboards and was resolved with an update, I wonder if it could be the same with your Asrock motherboard.
What I'd like you to do is fill out this Google form and attach a log to it.
To generate a log in Armoury Crate click Settings, click About tab.
Armoury Crate V5.4.10.0 / Aura Creator V3.5.7.0 (google.com)
The log should hopefully help the dev team identify the error and provide an update to address it.

I have a very different issue, I managed to upgrade the firmware once I got it yesterday.
I decided to change the switches and keycaps today... and the oled screen has completely stopped working.
The knobs work fine. I have no idea what is wrong and this is really giving me a very bad first impression as well.

Yea I just came to the conclusion ASUS is **bleep**. There customers service doesn’t help. They want you to essentially rebuild your whole pc to get a **bleep** keyboard to work. Never investing anymore money or time in this company

Azerath - Have you filled out the Google form?
I see your pc manufacturer is iBuypower, this would mean your pc is prebuilt?
Did your pc come with any RGB software preinstalled or have you installed any other RGB software besides Armoury Crate?
akira81 - Try pressing and holding the Fn + Esc keys for 10-15 seconds to reset your keyboard, does this get the OLED display working?

Tried that multiple times, the oled screen just refuses to work.
I’m returning the keyboard

I had the same issue few mins ago. I tried a lot of ways but failed. Finally I siwtched my keyboard to 2.4G mode(connected the dongle first) then switched back to USB mode (coonnected the cable as well). Then click update, it worked.

akira81- Strange the OLED display stopped working after swapping out the keys/switches. The only thing that comes to mind and I'm not saying it's your fault, it sounds like the OLED display somehow got damaged when swapping out the keys/switches.
Can I ask which key/switch set you swapped them out with?
Spacium-133- Good to hear you're updated and all is well with your ROG Azoth.

I’m using leobog icesoul switches and just Akko Asa keycaps.
this is supposed to be a fully customizable mechanical keyboard. A lot of keyboard enthusiast has done way more than just changing switches and keycaps.
