Asus Rog Azoth firmware issue

angelslayer123
Level 7

After the latest firmware update, the Escape and F1–F12 keys started malfunctioning. Pressing them triggers random and strange actions, and Alt+F4 works inconsistently. In the ROG Azoth utility, the keyboard is not recognized and shows error H2004. In Armoury Crate, an error appears when trying to access the keyboard menu. I’ve tried several things: holding FN + ESC, uninstalling and reinstalling all Armoury Crate software, connecting the keyboard to another PC — nothing helped. I also tried updating the firmware using the ROG AZOTH FW update tool, but the issue persists.

Hello angelslayer123

Try this:

I'll give you steps that should get you working.

1) Connect the charging cable to your keyboard, you can use motherboard or pc case usb ports.

2) Set the wireless switch on your keyboard to wired mode (switch set to the center position).

3) Connect the wireless dongle to a usb port, you can use motherboard or pc case usb ports.

4) Uninstall Armoury crate from windows.

I presume you already updated to the ROG Omni Receiver.

Hello! Thank you for your answer.

I followed your instructions, and now I can control the keyboard through Armoury Crate. However, the "ESC" key still doesn't work, and neither do the function (F) keys.

You're welcome

Have you tried resetting your ROG Azoth in Armoury Crate?
