Hello, I am having a similar issue to the discussion in this thread https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/armoury-crate/rog-delta-ii-audio-issues-after-armoury-crate-update/td-... . I just got this set and it's great but when playing games the audio sounds as if it is stuttering or tearing when explosions or higher treble moments happen like airstrikes. The audio sounds as if it is ripping and there is audible high pitched frequencies that definitely should not be there. It is really distracting and uncomfortable and otherwise takes away from a completely well rounded headset. Unlike the other post, updating my headset in ArmouryCrate did not solve my issue. I have turned off Audio Enhancements, Dolby Atmos, and am on 00.04.04.00 on the dongle and the headset firmware and my settings are below. I also do not run ArmouryCrate on my gaming PC, I save the settings from my laptop to the headset and then play with the dongle on my other PC. My EQ is just GadgetryTech's but with slight tweaks to raise channel Left to 55 and a bit lower Compression.

I tested some songs that this was present on (Metallica, CCR, Silverchair, Juice WRLD, Kendrick Lamar ). In certain songs (Deftones) it was very much a robotic sound like in the game. Other songs did not have it at all. but it is more of a background like static/crackling but I can still hear the lyrics. I tried FLAC Hi-Res songs and lower bitrate. I did hear this skipping on Black Sabbath songs for instance which were hi-res FLAC files @987K and also on Bush songs @ 269K
There is potentially an issue with AsRock drivers with the Bluetooth/Wifi Mediatek device maybe causing stuttering JayzTwoCents ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=YWTZkB9rVU0 ) but I've already updated to the latest drivers from AsRock and also disabled power saving on every single USB port and hub like many people are suggesting with this.

Since some things are out of our control in this case, such as the motherboard. Could you please test on another PC to see if the same thing happens? About the robotic sound, could be DSP or virtual surround enabled somehow. Music is easier to test with, since you already know exactly how Metallica and Silverchair should sound (good taste btw).

How about music via BT? Any issues there?

I’ve tried listening to music on my Asus ROG Strix G15 laptop with the headset on Bluetooth and Wirelessly also and I didn’t note any stuttering , static or clipping. I I’ll also try later on tonight the same game (HLL) that was giving me issues with the wireless connection. I’ve also ordered a new Bluetooth/Wifi card to install in my desktop PC to see if changing the manufacturer (To TPLink WiFi 7 BE9300 from Mediatek RZ717) will help, Thank you for helping me look into this strange issue

I tried the headset on my laptop today Asus Rog Strix G15 and no issues with most music, but in the Hell Let Loose game when in vehicles or shooting / exploding other vehicles there was stuttering/static/crackling and one instance it was uncomfortable because the sound crackled from right then left then right earcups after I blew up a tank at somewhat close range. It sounds as if there is static really and it's not a good experience. Otherwise on this second PC the music sounded OK, some stuttering/static but overall OK.

I am guessing I am going to have to contact Asus ROG support and tell them what I've tested

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems as though the issue is exclusive to one particular game. I'd suggest contacting the game developer.

It's not. I mentioned above that it is happening in Squad too at a different level. different developer. Also why does this not happen in the same game on the Audeze Maxwells, Turtle Beach Atlas Air, Turtle Beach Stealth Pro, Logitech A50X, HyperX Cloud III Wireless, Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, all of which are wireless headsets - with varying EQs and audio enhancement settings and bitrates? IEMs or Hifiman over ear through a DAC don't have this problem either. There has to be some setting or issue with this specific headset causing this massive audio glitching.

ROG Delta II Headset pt II - bit rate - 24bit-48000hz no enhancements or spatial

But it seems to also depend on the PC. On your laptop the experience is different, you mentioned music is fine via both BT and RF. Music quality should be better than games, so if the Delta II can handle that fine, there's no reason why it can't for games. If there a sound quality setting in that game? Could the bitrate or internet speed be limiting factors?

I did buy these to play games not listen to music. And like I said, I’m no audio engineer but I’ve spent a lot of time gathering videos at varying bitrates and situations and it’s been a problem at every turn. Ok it seemed ok playing a few songs on my laptop. But how does that prove the headset is functional? The second I load up games it is a disaster - like in the video clips. My internet is hardwired both on laptop and desktop 1 GB Fios. I’ve lowered the bitrate to 48khz and removed every enhancement in settings in the video and it’s just as bad audio glitching. I don’t have this problem on any of the other wireless headsets that I owned mentioned above and specifically either in games or in music. I want these headphones to work but clearly they aren’t and it’s getting frustrating, literally never had an issue with any other headset in games like these
