Hello.
I've had this problem yesterday and after numerous hours of trying to make it work, I was unable to fix it myself so I've taken to the forum.
The right earcup stopped working completely, despite the headset functioning fine. (Connects to my PC, Connects to Bluetooth where both sides work.) But when connected via 2.4, the right side continues to not work. I assume it has something to do with the firmware update but I cannot get it to work. I've tired the ASUS pairing tool, and the button remains greyed out despite following instructions. I attempted to update it via the Armoury crate to no avail, it gives me the prompt to power off the device and plug it via USB and dongle, then set it to 2.4 GHZ mode to update the firmware and that nothing happens there. I've tried disabling the device via device manager and restarting the pc, and that doesn't work either.
I have tried many things to make this work but I cannot seem to figure it out. Please, if you have ANY ideas at all, I would appreciate it.

Ok. So...this is going to sound very dumb, but, for some odd reason, my Right ear cup was, in fact, working, but the volume for it was zero. I don't know why I didn't think to check it but. This is just my mistake and not on anyone else. Thank you for taking the time to help me out despite my ignorance. For anyone wondering; head to devices > click on the headset > settings >channel mixer dashboard

Inside Armoury Crate's Update Center, before you click on update firmware, please connect your headset to the PC via cable and switch the connection mode to wired/OFF. With the wireless receiver (dongle) also plugged into the PC, try to update the firmware again.

Either I'm misunderstanding the prompts or the method given is not working. I have the headset connected via cable to the pc, with the dongle connected as well. Switching it to 2.4 GHZ just prompts it to connect, and no update is applied. Nothing happens still.

Hello Agelism_1
You have the charging cable connected to your headset and pc.
You have the wireless dongle connected to your pc.
Now, set the 2.4GHz wireless switch on the headset to OFF and try the update.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. The problem seemed to have resolved itself randomly one day but seems to have returned. I have the headset connected, with a 2.4GHZ dongle connected to the PC. When I click on update, I get this prompt. Clicking on Yes, leads me to this prompt. Clicking on OK, does nothing, with the headset turned off and connected via Wire and 2.4GHz. I'm not sure what else to do now, do I simply leave it alone until it decides to start working again? It's very frustrating.
